Just buy with extremely cautious if you want to buy, company may sell down again.

The Company has started to sell its treasury shares since 4 April, it was also the date I started to buy Oldtown :(

The company held 11,779,200 treasury shares then, now only left 1,779,200.

It closed 2.73 on 4 April, now price is still RM2.73

By looking at the transaction pattern, it was caused by disposal of treasury shares from the company, I guess today sold 1-1.2 mil, another 579k-779k to go.

Last few sell down, I waited 2.61-2.63, all matched. Now they have not much stocks, the lowest should be at RM2.66.

Welcome, i7trader, since the company has disposed off 11mil, they will surely sell the remaining 779k, just watch out a bit.

But after that, you will hardly see sellers willing to throw shares.

If you refer to top 30 shareholders list, mostly all are institutions.....

Hi Kee, crude oil price will surely affect certain industries & currency. But it will have minimum effect over Oldtown. In fact, weak RM is positive to old town.

I choose oldtown (consumer stock) because it is resilient & defensive, leading brand in niche segment, decent dividend payout & bright future.

Also, it won't be affected politically & economically so much compared to other politically linked stocks.
