This is only 1st significance drop, more to come. I am waiting for the right time to collect! Below RM2.20 first cut..... Then if drop below RM2 will collect somemore.
one of the main contributor of profit could be the franchise fees. Someone told me is about 1 million or more per 1 new franchise outlet ( never get it verified , anyone know the figure ?) Any expert that can let us know what is the % of profit contributed by franchise fee charge to new franchisees ?
i think is net worth $1mil, that is to ensure you have enough working capital to keep your business running. If follow what the website says: Fee: Upfront franchise fee of RM80,000 (one-off) and an additional RM10,000 if franchisee exercises option to extend tenure (5 years + 5 years option) and then 5% royalty fee on the gross revenue derived from monthly sales, and 3% advertising and promotion fees of the gross revenue derived from monthly sales. http://oldtownfranchise.blogspot.com/ Personally i dun think franchise fees contribute much, a 10 years franchise fees is just about RM170,000 is probably royalty fee on gross revenue from monthly sales from coffee chain that contribute. If looked at last annual report, over $262 mil in revenue, or 62%, came from coffee chain. The rest of revenue came from manufacturing beverages.
Thanks Cheesburger. Interesting info from the website. More than half of outlets are franchise stores. Is the sales of the franchise stores consider sales of OLDTOWN or only the 8% fees charged are consider sales (revenue) ?
Or only the coffee and whatnot supplied to these franchise stores are considered as sales ? And, are the coffees supplied to these franchise stores group under revenue of coffee chain or as sales of beverages ?
If my understanding is correct, only 8% are consider revenue from coffee chain. As franchise the owner manage their business as well as profit and loss. That's what gross revenue means. Coffee sale is under mfg beverages.
Thanks Cheesburger . Most shares are , too me, over valued now. As for this counter, I am curious bec many of the outlets I visited were not doing that well ( just casual observation and could be totally wrong) but this Co still announced profit therefore I wonder where the profit came from. . .... Interesting. Just wonder anyone has the average sales per outlet ( include all the outlets) per month of last few years, then we know whether the company is going North or South.
What I know, they are expanding internationally...currently they have outlets in Singapore,Indonesia and China...they plan to get licensing othercountries as well
Rental at overseas espeacially big cities are VERY expensive, more expensive than Malaysia. Business so so, not everybody likes to eat Malaysia food. Further more, the taste is different coz most outlets overseas cook by foreigners.
On 04/11/13, formed doji and today (06/11/13) RSI, Stochastic and Win % R point upwards at near oversold region indicating a bullish reversal. Chance..., chance..., chance...

In my opinion Maybank IB's target price of RM3.55 is quite high. TP of RM2.80 is more relistic and acheivable.
