"The current financial situation gives us a strong position to pursue some valuable M&A activity."
Shabir Beck Hughes is an oil and gas services company jointly operated by Shabra Energy and U.S. oil and gas giant Baker Hughes on a 51:49 basis and is responsible for providing maintenance services for national oil's floating LNG facilities.
In particular, the report said that the associated company was a "relatively successful unit" of Shabula Energy; For the financial year ending January 2021, the company had over RM200 million in assets and approximately RM158 million in liabilities and received NET PROFIT AFTER TAX of RM37.85 million.
