SHAH ALAM: The government will present in December a white paper on the management of Felda, said Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

He said the paper would be presented following the mismanagement and excessive debt of over RM8bil.

A White Paper is usually presented in Dewan Rakyat, which in this session, would be held until Dec 11.

Mohamed Azmin said the main agenda of the Federal Government administered by Pakatan Harapan were the problems of the settlers in ensuring they would not continue to bear the burden of the excessively high cost of living.

“The Felda issue was raised by delegates.

“I, representing PKR and the government, stress that the main agenda of the government today is to address the problems of Felda settlers and to champion their welfare,” he said in his winding-up speech at the 13th PKR national congress here yesterday.

In addition, he said the developments in the states would also be the focus of the government regardless of whether the states were under Pakatan or the Opposition. — Bernama
