Palm demand in Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt is expected to increase in the run up to Muslim holiday of Ramadan, though it will likely stay within seasonal norms and not create more demand growth.

Traders also said that markets hit by currency depreciations last year have better purchasing power now due to improved currency management and lower palm prices versus 2018.

"Palm prices now are quite cheap as compared to last year, which improves the purchasing power for Pakistan," said a Pakistan-based oilseed trader.

rajachulan just to share that the soy bean use mostly as animal feed in china... thus despite the trade war... china still die die want the usa soy bean...brazil is planting the soy bean as fast as they can to fill the gap...

this is the reason why we didnt see any palm export increase during the trade war... plam oil or its by product hasnt been developed to replace soy bean as animal feed...

and that 'chinese' company is actually a msia chinese kuok company... nothing to cheer about...

given the fact the old horse keep pissing the china from the north and spore in the south... he become a wild old horse...
