Nobody dare to hanky panky with FGV especially the new BOD. FGV was famous and nearly be world no.1 after 1MDB for the corruptible reputations. Gone are the days BUT still set a reminder and awareness across the nations.

That is why Haris is transforming FGV and first can be seen on their operation side. If he hanky panky with the company, surely he will be charged just like Isa and the Musketeers.

CIMB RAISE PRICE TARGET FROM 92 Cents to RM1.12

KUALA LUMPUR (March 1): CIMB IB Research has maintained its “Hold” rating on FGV Holdings Bhd at RM1.12 with a higher target price of RM1.10 (from 92 sen) and said FGV reported a net loss of RM1.08 billion in FY18 due mainly to RM933 million provisions for impairments and receivables and weaker CPO price.

my advice to PH is to do the necessary reforms before GE15, 2 terms limit PM, reform MACC, EC, Judiciary..... prevent what happened before GE14 from happening. If they don't do this, they will only have another chance after a very very long time. I don't want to say more, just do the important reforms, limit power of PM

KUANTAN, March 2 — With palm oil prices facing pressure in international markets, the government is recommending that oil palm planters and smallholders consider other types of commercial crops with better market prospects.

Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok Suh Sim said potential commodity crops with high demand include coconuts, pineapples and bamboo.

She said the fall in palm oil prices last year had affected many smallholders and only a few large planters were able to profit from the sale of the commodity.

“A few companies have started to move away from oil palm to coconuts. The planting of coconuts can be profitable as every year, Malaysia imports a lot of coconuts to meet demand.

“Therefore, this (planting coconuts) is something worth trying, as well as other crops such as pineapples and bamboo, which are planted in Pos Lenjang, Cameron highlands, and can be used to make various goods,” she said.

The minister said this at the launching ceremony of The Valley@Bentong development project here today.

Also present at the ceremony were Bentong Member of Parliament Wong Tack, Bina Puri Holdings Bhd (Bina Puri) chairman Tan Sri Ir Wong Foon Meng and Bina Puri group managing director Tan Sri Tee Hock Seng.

Meanwhile, Kok said the Federal government, in cooperation with the state governments, had ceased opening up new areas for oil palm plantations.

“Oil palm players also have an important role to play in giving the sector a new image to re-attract global customers, especially in Europe.

“This includes intensifying replanting activities and contributing to wildlife conservation, which are two of the major issues constantly raised at the international level,” she added. — Bernama

1. Why both Fgv&Sime declared losses n start d blame game of low oil price n impairment losses
2.Last FY Sime sold assets to pay dividend
3.To stayput in oil palm industry, must get a yield of atleast 23mt/fruit/ha/annum n their present yield only 17mt
4.They talk of replanting to incrase yield, how sure are we that they can get a yield of 23 mt after 5 yrs of replanting as the same kind of ppl r involved
5.Fgv cannot survive n the only word is privatisation n same goes to Sime

Oil palm plantation need very hardworking field going comitted managers which both Fgv/S.... dont have becoz of GLC policies, both fgv/S... having 1 million hectares n unable to give results, ask IOI to manage n problem solved
