Made a motor claim for an accident, the adjuster declared the car as total loss. And when i asked what's the claim approved, it turned out to be less than market value of the vehicle. I checked with other insurance company Alliance and Aig the value difference is 3k plus higher than what Tune is giving. When asked how can that be different they said it differs from insurance company. How is that possible when you say you follow market value? You cant just simply say figure and say that's the value of the vehicle. Wheres the data for it? Where are you getting it from? Nothing is justified!! Never use this insurance as a vehicle insurance!! They don't even deserve a star! Facebook made me choose atleast a star

I must say that I am really disappointed in terms of using service of Tune Protect.
I sent all documents to make a claim about a month ago and since that I asked few times what is the progress of my claim. Unfortunately no one responded to my e-mails and it looks like I paid the insurance company that doesn't care about the customer. I don't recommend Tune Protect. Please use another insurance provider in the future

poor claims service--->poor sales---->lesser premium----> lesser investment income to play with---->lesser capital, reserve etc---->share price drop.

this is a bad cycle......

Tune Protect was awarded “Best Travel Insurance Facilitator 2017” on July 4th, at the first Arabian Travel Awards held in Dubai, UAE

Paperplane, all company does the same. U may buy higher premium but at the end all insurance company will tell you. This is the real Market price they would only pay u accordingly to market price. Is call be wise in choosing premium.

I have seen worst n ridiculous review, I think the mum of the passenger went to hospital & last minute he couldn't go on board the flight, then TUNEPRO doesn't claim for him then he blame TUNEPRO.

Look at these dumbass, when he bought the insurance, clearly it doesn't say it cover the misflight causing by hospitalization of someone. U little IDIOT PAPERPLANE go follow blindly on the review. Do you analysis whether the review make sense or does it hit the criterias that are covered by the insurance.

I have seen many people who manage to claim TUNEPRO easily as long as they have the document or proof to support the criteria they covered.

TKK - the answer maybe a NO.... when the whole world was moving up, TIH went down. And today the whole world went down, TIH move up. ...this is called negative correlation... :-).

TIH is low beta stock plus decent dividend yield. when the market volatility increases, investors move to low beta stock to seek refuge. But it may reverse immediately when risk on mood is back. so beware!!

DPS more than EPS, not to mention EPS has been on a downtrend. Anyone curious how dividend will be sustainable ?

No idiot would bother privatizing this kind of business. Most related company business and niche insurance player at PE of 11-12x ? Motor insurance is supposedly one of the worst sectors to be in btw and is there any 'hidden gems' in this company ? Let silly retailers like us buy better.

DPS is only 5.2 sen per FY, i believe there's been reporting errors for each of the QR, hence it looks like DPS > EPS.

Look closer to entitlement tab instead of the DPS derived from each QR

what worries me for this insurance company is that their cash is thinning over the years

Net Cash Per Share (sen)
2013 - 3.20
2014 - 2.89
2015 - 4.43
2016 - 1.29

Latest QR - 1.12

Posted by drkervokian > 2017-08-14 16:29 | Report Abuse

Sorry. Didn't get to the conclusion
A) cut CEO salary. The business is too easy and the entity is spoonfed by AirAsia.
B) fire all those people they call digital officers. Waste money fly here and there see Google and Amazon but still can't transform an essentially online business but just drive cost base up.
C) may need to replace the chief investment officer.
D) move out of the fancy office near KL sentral and go back to good old startup days.

Then cost base will be better and net profit will be better.

From valuation standpoint although NTA is approx 70 cents But given EPS is approx 6 to 7 cents so the market in general tends to follow EPS. Especially at stock price of Rm1.
So I think the price is very attractive.
---
Were from the outside so can't tell what's happening in the inside.

Am not saying they are but have seen incidents where folks are selling cause potentially there's gonna be a right issuance coming to increase the low cash base.

Then pickup once stabilized. So try to look at the volume in your indicators after rights. Especially when it's relatively high.

If that's the case that's when dividend will be announced and price will go up. Easy money for major shareholders.
