Set a price in mind and queue for it. If you get it, well done. If you don't, you don't lose out. Chasing the ups and downs will eventually lead you to a losing position.
hai guys! There should be a payment of 3rd interim dividend and special dividend on 13 Jan 2014 rite? Why only receive for interim dividend? and no special dividend payment? Any idea any one?
Don't worry it is in the affordable housing pricing .....everybody can buy & fly hahahahah ...it is also the beneficiary for EPF project in Sungai Buloh wait and see ....apart from it seremban 2 is coming up with new Factory and also near to KLIA .....will be a boom . TP 4.80 - 5.50 soon ....after CNY
If u like matrix n convinced if its potential growth why don't just buy a substantial amount of it at any given price n close your laptop for the next five years instead of speculating this n that. Monitoring daily price fluctuation is futile n a clear suicide. If you buy a right goose who lays the golden eggs there's nothing to worry about as long as you are not slaughtering her. Of course, you may slaughter her at the end when she is old n unable to lay that desirable golden eggs. But, for now Matrix is still a young, beautiful, aggresive n most desirable goose in our country.
Stock investment is that easy if we trust this "golden goose" concept n be a responsible goose owner. Forget about the stock price n our quick rich dream n buy matrix for the purpose of inheritance to our beloved sons n daughter one day. They will be very grateful to us and will do the same to our beloved grandsons/granddaughters. Thats really how the stock investment philosophy is all about.Short termism kills.
Weir's investment in M'sia reaches RM1b Publish date: Tue, 4 Feb 14:38 Scotland-based Weir Group Plc's investment in Malaysia has reached RM1 billion, todate, making it the largest British company to invest in the country.
The investment included a US$200 million (approximately RM600 million) acquisition in Linatex Rubber Products Sdn Bhd in 2010, RM22 million acquisition in Cheong Foundry last year and the proposed investment of 70 million British pounds (approximately RM350 million) in Sendayan Technology Park, Negeri Sembilan.
International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the decision by Weir Group to invest in Malaysia was an endorsement of the country's business friendly environment and quality workforce.
"Weir Group will double its workforce to 1,000 employees in two years. These are highly-skilled quality jobs that would help Malaysia move up the value chain to become a high-income nation by 2020," he told reporters during a field visit to Linatex Rubber Products' plant today.
Present were British High Commissioner to Malaysia Simon Featherstone and Weir Group chief executive officer Keith Cochrane.
Mustapa said the ministry was confident Weir Group's investment in Malaysia would benefit the country in many ways especially in terms of enhanced exports.
He said the company exported 95 per cent of its products and would be one of the vital industrial players in Malaysia's pursuit to increase the country's export numbers in the long-run.
"This is important as we aspire to enhance our exports. We are confident this company will help Malaysia achieve our export target.
"Although its (the company} contribution is small right now but the prospects of the oil and gas industry augured well for Weir Group," he said.
Operating in more than 70 countries, Weir Group's business profile included minerals, oil and gas, power and industrial.-- Bernama

It need to break the 3.9 first. Look at macd chart and it is reversing into positive. To get to 4.50 we need major foreign fund involvement and some positive news about the property market. A lot of fund is in the wait and see mode because of the recent government intervention and tapering but I believe they are coming back short term before the next tapering meeting. Personally I don't care much if the company make profit and the price will be adjusted. If not, they can always give bigger dividend like they do recently. Hope the first interim dividend is bigger than last year. It's definitely one of the undervalue stock that has not been picked up by others yet. It is also looking after employee and their morale is good. They have cheap land and I believe the company will shine when the property market is booming again.
What I am not sure is how the GST will affect the market. Theoretically it should not increase the costs. There are a lot of other stuff that need to be bought for after moving into new house.
Anyway for property stock, I rate Matrix counter third after Ecoworld and MKH.
Slts, Viagra not good and only give you short excitement. I will like it to rise slowly and naturally and for longer term and better enjoyment. I never had one or need one :-),
Don't miss this awesome value counter, grow with it. Must be very strong Q results, directors are acquiring more shares before results out. Don't miss it. Will break RM 4. Invest on your own risk.
If 9 months eps was 44 sen, maybe full year will be between 55 to 60 sen. Plus if they reward shareholders with bonus shares or a share split, then share price will be heading towards RM4.50 and beyond...
Congrats to all Matrix holders. Patience is always a virtue. Dont forget to always keep our bullets for upcoming corrections as any corrections will be our hidden opportunities. At the end, only those who stay sideline and those so called "technicians" will bite their fingers. Hope there will be good news soon after the next quarterly annoucement end this month.
Matrix has all the criterions of a great company. Its landmark "Bandar Sri Sendayan" is a major "brand" at the major location. If we still in doubt, pay a visit at this township and surely we'll be impressed on its latest development and will agree it is comparable if not less than Setia Alam. Enough talking and speculating about its prospect this and that and let its wise management and hardworking employees doing their jobs to do whatever necessary to reward us as the loyal investors.
People who still in doubt will argue that Matrix being a property stock is in cyclical industry and is not suitable for long term investment or so called "buy, hold and forget" strategy. For Matrix, it will not be a case since its recognized "brand" as well as current and forecast earning figures will talk by itself. Its "golden eggs" are paid every quarter thus that's evident of its financial strength. This is a stock of "future" but luckily is not yet in the fund managers' radar at least for the next one or two years hence there still room for accumulation by wise long term investors.
For value investors fellow in the same fundamentalist camp, always be careful in your stocks selection. Make sure we do not throw our money in those "cheap" low PE stocks without any promising "brands" although they are strongly associated with great financial fundamentals. There are a lot of examples of this kind of stocks but they will remain "cheap" as it is due to lack of strong "brands". Without strong "brands" there will be no competitive advantage. At the end, we will get caught in disappointing value trap.
Do invest in companies with established "brands" and "specialty" with proven competitive advantage although their PE and share price are not at "cheap" as there's lies the future, do not cloud your judgement with "high" or "low" PE, avoid unnecessary diversification i.e. focus only with two to three companies of that kind but bet a substantial and meaningful amount, lets the profits ride "slowly but surely", do close our laptops, avoid the trap of selling too early for tiny profits, ignore daily, weekly or monthly share price fluctuations as our major concern is only the "main course" in the upcoming years. That's how easy to invest in the stock market which people always disregard due to ignorance and difficulties to withstand their own patience as well as temptation of being trapped in the "quick rich" mentality.
For the time being, Matrix is definitely one of the wise choice in our country. Good luck!
