The local businesses were unable to operate during the Movement Control Order (“MCO”) period. The showrooms and after-sales service centres resumed operations after the MCO in beginning of May 2020. Similarly, the businesses in the overseas markets have also been affected by the pandemic, albeit to a lesser extent.

Looks like BAUTO's results will be much better than TanChong bcos Bauto's 2Q20 starts from 01 May to 31July where MCO ends and ShowRooms open for Biz

Look at DRB results, not going to improve much. Gov wants to protect Proton and thousand of

this stock can or cannot fly have nothing to do with UMW, bro.

My personal opinion, toyota besides Yaris and Vios, others is not selling well in Malaysia, maybe because CBU and design lack attractive. 140k Atlis 1.8 vs 140k Honda civic 1.5T, which will you choose
Another example is the Rav4, do you think someone will spend 200k for it?

if only UMW and BAUTO to choose for invest, i will choose BAUTO.

UMW does not only involved in selling passenger vehicles only. They do O&G, engineering, construction etc too.

Ya, u r right tws13282. UMW share price now is indeed very attractive.
But a listed company with too diversify business is hard to judge it value.
but majority of the businesses(O&G, engineering construction) impact by COVID-19.

Perodua is great in sales but with Geely involve in proton, i foresee proton will challenge perodua no#1 position in Malaysia in near future.

I invest in BAUTO is because i like car and i like Mazda. Invest in something you feel confident with.

I feel that Mazda will have great potential to growth the car sales in Malaysia provided BAUTO invest in more CKD models. I strongly believe the CX-30 will be the next CKD model and will be selling as hot as CX5 if the price they offer is competitive enough.

If you refer to others Automative sector reports, this QR should be red, next QR will be green, but shares price maybe did not see any big impact. May be market had been exptected what will be happended. E.g. DRBHICOM, QR red, but shares price green.
