帕戈：Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin表示，儘管目前發生Covid-19大流行，但馬來西亞仍然是外國投資者的首選目的地。

Nearly 11 bbbilion of borrowings, melabur lagi. Best way to improve gearing is via right issues. Next few quarters results est to be no surprise, ie down trend. Goreng on news is possible.

KUALA LUMPUR (March 29): Malakoff Corporation Bhd will focus its strategic expansion, as part of its new growth areas in securing bids for renewable energy (RE) and waste-to-energy (WTE) plants.

Chairman Datuk Hasni Harun noted that RE has been identified as one of the key areas of growth in the energy industry, both internationally as well as within Malaysia.

“The demand for power will continue to increase, as consumption increases in the longer term.

“Within Malaysia, the number of WTE plants are also set to expand, as the government has announced its target of six WTE plants in the country by 2025,” he said in the company’s Annual Report released today.

He said the company would continue to explore and pursue potential investments in the power and water industry which would provide lucrative returns for its international business especially in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Improved prospects for IPPs. While earnings for IPPs are supposed to be fairly stable which was covered by the PPAs, MALAKOF (OP; TP: RM1.05) reported yet another disappointing 4QFY20 results which was hit by unplanned outage at TBE which extended from 3QFY20. Nonetheless, with the completion of the forced outage work at TBE, and KEV losses eliminated since 1QFY20, earnings volatility is fairly low here forth taking it back to concession-type stable earnings mode.

@jeffreyteck, whr do you see the 11 bil borrowings? i just checked their annual report but dont see the 11 bil borrowings you mentioned? or you r referring to the group s (MMC) borrowings instead of the company (Malakoff)

Total debt at 10.58 Bil. 10 yr average at 16.5 Bil. It has reduce significantly since 2016/17 report. Current ratio stable at 2.04 ~pass years. Liquidity ratio not a concern. total liability has also drop 24B to 18 Bil currently.
Divident payout ratio is near 100% of earnings...seems to be normal for utilities /IPP.
Current Stock price at 8.50-8.60 is a good bargain. Another well manage company.
Current price action looks good to enter as well.

Strong support at 0.84. Strong fundamentals. For risk averse investors. Yearly 10% -20% potential growth should be something old timers know how to appreciate. Not for young guns.

I was refering to their long term and short term debt. Current Liability will be short term debt that has to be service within the year.
