they still sell ice cream and bread in mynews, knowing they are losing money... especially the ice cream, why? lose money still continue to do the same thing? then mynews supervalue got mini mynews inside... why?

mynews brand is dead, just accept it. they should slowly close down mynews, focus on CU or rebrand mynews to Maru and come up with something different.

problem with management is they always follow people, never lead. last time say they can be as big as 711 by opening an outlet adjacent to 711 and capture their market share and grow. then familymart came in, shake the whole market, so they try to follow FM by introducing food and ice cream... follow follow but dont know doing what, lose money. now 711 rebrand to 7 Cafe. mynews still stuck with the old format... eventually it will die.

Yeah, 49c!. Not sure if ice creams and breads are making losses, but I like them going venture into these. Only that they don't have creativity. Most of the the things follow family mart. No clear direction. Last time they JV with Jap, now with Korean, only to fight competitors off. Maru is indeed a good move and idea, however, I have no idea why the Japanese guy was removed or he left. Perhaps the management was not happy with him. Such a waste of talent.

And also hired so many board members for what? Bye myNews, you are falling hard this time.

this mynews will gone in year 2025..... pass by a few Mynews convenient store.... no customer during peak hour.. i dont think they can pay up the Debt.. somemore their Korean Store is not popular and malaysian aren't a fan of kimchi.

i find that their store n branding cannot compete with Happy Mart , Family Mart, 7 Eleven. at first i think that's just me. every individual has different taste. but when asked my friends, all view the same. But in Malaysia where 70% of population is Malay, you want to target the Malay appetite .. like TeaLive.. I guess they need to rebrand their MyNews . Even near my place , CU.... i find it can't compete with its competitors. Will this retail share price become like another Parkson?

hahaha! what kind of different mkt? we are malaysians afterall. Things've changed, last time lesser competitors. Generally only myNews vs 7e. Many smokers switched to vape and also the implementation of the anti smoking law will be a blow to them. FPC also a big debt burden. No wonder EPF run first
