"Knowledge without discipline is dangerous, discipline without knowledge has little value" 1) We are here to help out any I3 members of their stock TA. If you need help on any stock chart just address us as “Dear TCB..” 2) We encourage traders to buy stocks with a trading plan. Before you buy please have a Stop Loss in case the stocks go against you. 3) We encourage traders to cultivate a winning habit, that is to lock in profits often when the opportunity arises. Be focused. We are here with one purpose only, that is to make money, never let a winning trade become a losing trade. 4) We encourage traders to set a Trailing Stop to protect their profits when riding on a winning trade. 5) We encourage other traders that have TA knowledge to participate and help out others on TA. In this way we all can learn together. 6) We will never recommend any stock in this thread as Buying and Selling is solely your own decision and your own risk. 7) We may post the stocks that we are interested in, together with a TA reading on it for the purpose of sharing. These TA readings are to cultivate habits of 'Discipline' and 'Plan' before trading .

New York- Oil crumbles, bond prices up on economy fears...
Brent crude prices marked their biggest decline in more than three years on Tuesday and U.S. and German debt attracted buyers on lingering anxiety over world economic growth .

Worries about a slowing global economy and fears of the spread of Ebola have made investors skittish of late. The CBOE Volatility Index, the equity market's preferred gauge of anxiety, edged lower but still closed at its second-highest level in more than two years.

An MSCI gauge of major stocks worldwide .MIWD00000PUS was down 0.15 percent after hitting an eight-month low earlier.

Investors have turned more defensive due to worries about the U.S. Federal Reserve ending its bond-buying stimulus later this month, mounting risks of recession in the euro zone, and a floundering Japanese economy.

The German Economy Ministry sharply cut its forecasts for growth for 2014 and 2015, and business sentiment also fell in Europe's largest economy.

SpeedyBoy -

Good evening. Just saw your posting. Market indeed very bad and immense selling pressure emerged in the afternon which caused share prices to take another beating!

Congrats on your gain on Elsoft. To be able to profit at this stage is remarkable. Nihsin also came under selling pressure in the afternoon while Ijacobs still holding.

Thanks for your well wishes and may you prosper from trading by adopting a cautious stance and wishing you all the best!

Sky,

My reading of MEGB on 14/10/2014 through email:

MEGB (5166) —It has shown a lot of strength when KLCI was moving downward, it has formed bullish divergence with KLSE.I would expect it to break above $0.43, a break above $0.43 confirms Ascending triangle break out it is expected to test its next resistance at $0.45/$0.465/$0.485 and final target of $0.545 in mid term. Stop Loss if $0.40 is violated.

My update last night:
MEGB (5166)—Hit my target of $0.45 I am out with some profits. It is very bullish and today it gapped up and may re enter if the gap support of $0.43/$0.425 holds.

Happy Trading

hanis - Dsonic:

Under correction and likely to remain bearish. It has 2 failed attempt break 1.71/1.72, currently the strong resistance level. Temporarily it should have strong support at 1.44 which if broken would trend to the next support level at 1.35. Immediate resistance is at 1.60.

During bearish times like these, you need to be cautious in intra trade. We will usually bottom fish and you need to look out for sellers exhaustion or reversal patterns before moving in. If you are a high risk taker and decided to trade intra-day, you need to be very discipline and cut loss immediately it hits your stop loss and lock in profits when it hits your target price.

Thanks.

Hi Profitman/TA sifu ... can you please advise me with current bearish market, does TA really count?I am currently holding SAMUDRA/KSSC & plan to hold for 4 month?Another question is due to currently plunge of US Market,is it a sign of market crash or correction?

Thanks in advance...now I really same as my nick name,DUNKNOW..Hihihi...

Hi Carlsraj55,
MPAY:
It is under consolidation between $0.185 and $0.20. Breaking above $0.20 will have a bullish implication to scale upward to an immediate TP of $0.225. Any weakness will find immediate support at $0.185 and $0.17. Stop Loss if $0.17 is violated.
TCB does not recommend Buy/Sell/Hold calls but we encourage everyone to have a trading plan and set your TP and cut loss level according to your risk/reward profile and be disciplined in following it.

Happy Trading.

Hi tsy88,
EURO:
It is currently under consolidation. Immediate resistance is at $0.65. Breaking above it with volume will have bullish implication which will have an estimated TP of $0.68. However, it will find next resistance after breakout at $0.67 before it scale higher. Any weakness will find immediate support at $0.62 and $0.60 respectively. Stop loss if $0.60 is violated.

Happy Trading.

Dunknow - ...hahaha.... that is a good one.

Well, during times like these, TA becomes even more useful because TA as you know provides us with the data generated from the market and from the actions of traders/investors in the market. It also gives us a sense of the prevailing market psychology. People who intend to bottom fish, will be on the look out for signs of the stock price bottoming out or for reversal patterns. These can be gleaned from the indicators and charts, although are not the holy grail, but do provide us with some form of guidance.

But I can't really emphasize enough that DISCIPLINE in trading is really the key in bearish times. In a bull market, everything is easy. Whatever price target that you set will eventually be reached and whatever counters that you look at will likely be a winner. But the bear market will separate the men from the boys, figuratively speaking, (sorry, no offense intended to anyone. Just want to highlight a point) because it is not easy to have the discipline to cut loss not to mention the huge task of finding winners in a sea of red counters. I sometimes commit the same indiscipline that all traders commit too because we are all humans.

Whether to hold Samudra and KSSC for 4 months or not depends on your trading strategies for these 2 counters. If the growth prospects are good for these 2 companies, it may make sense to hold for the medium term on the assumption that it will recover its value over time. If not, you may want to consider releasing capital for other trades or even to re-enter these stocks when their price have settled to a new low price level.

This is not a market crash but a big market correction that sends it into bear territory. There are many here, like Matrix and Inwest88, who have experienced a market crash and it is a horrific scenario. Many who lived through it will not want to see it happen again. In a crash, there can be many sellers and no buyers and the buy and sell bid prices can be galaxies apart. It is basically all doom and gloom! Whereas in the current market scenario, there are still a lot of buying interest in many counters.

That is why TCB strongly advocates a trading plan supported by a discipline to execute the plan so that traders/investors, especially newbies, do not lose your life savings during your pursuit of a fortune.

I hope the above answers your queries.

Your wise comments much appreciated. I too went through all the Market Crashes - Oct 25 ( Black Friday ) when DJ drops 500 + points, 1993 Market Crash - When somebody says "GET OUT", 1997 - Asia Financial Crisis and 2008 Financial Crisis. My only disadvantages is that I do not have the TA and FA skills and limited finances. The only issue here is that Don't Be Greedy. If you think that your profits has hit your target, sell. I have set my target that is 30 % up - take profits and 30 % down - cut lost. Perhaps, others might have difference strategies or opinion.

Haha, thanks for your valuable reply…no offence at all, as I do agreed on the discipline while doing trading…for me,I am holding few which I think have prospect, therefore I just hold on…
Many ppls are ‘hoping’ and ‘hoping’ for rebound when their stock drops, but I think ‘hoping’ & ‘reality’ is total 2 difference thing especially support is broken, that’s why I am agreed on the displine and your phase of MPML…
Really appreciate for your kind and prompt reply
