Profitman - on the subject of warrants, can you please look at Takaso Wb? Conversion is 0.35 and expiry falls on 4th September 2016. I first traded the Wb at 0.195 on 23/9 when the mother share went up 3 cents to 0.535 with high of 0.55 done. Cleared at 0.215 when the mother went to high of 60.5. Mother was trending up very nicely to recent high of 0.73 before it pulled back and currently consolidating. The Wb after establishing high of 0.235 was all this while in the money but seemed to be going lower and lower! Now with mother price at 0.64, Wb is only 0.185, at a steep discount of 16.4%! I subsequently traded twice again on the Wb thinking that price was very attractive but it never moved and lost on charges on these 2 occasions and thereafter dare not touch it again. Really baffles me why the Wb not moving in tandem with the mother share. Compare it to TmcLife Wa which expiry is on 22nd December 2014 but can move up so much together with the mother share. Can you shed some light on this extraordinary case? Something wrong somewhere!

Hope I am not being too long winded! Thanking you in anticipation.

Dunknow - just look at the details of Seacera and its WB

Mothers Price 0.940
Warrant price 0.495
Coversion Price 1.00
Expiry 2019-05-29
Gearing 1.90
Prem / Disc 59.0%

Expiry 5 years from now - okay
Gearing 1.90 is a bit too low.
Premium a hefty 59%

Unless you some some news that the share price of the mother will go up (which results in he warrant moving in tandem, albeit in this case may not move proportionally in view of the high premium) I would reckon better to go for the mother share.

Inwest88 - good morning. Yeah, unfortunately dow erased earlier modest gains and went back down by 153! Dow had been up for 5 consecutive days. With Canadian shooting at Parliament, hopefully this does not drag our Klci down by too much.

Good morning all TCB superiors.
good morning to all readers here.

today is the global T+4 days. Market experts opined that recent steeped-loss and sharp-rebound may not be a good sign for market sustainability.

I personally think should trade cautiously and strategically (trading buy and sentiment trendy counters) during this period till after 3 cycles of T+4.

I would be super happy to receive your view.

thanks.

tsy88 - Takaso has another issue attached to it. The underlying fundamentals of Takaso is weakening with a loss making last year that extended to the first quarter of this year, if I am not mistaken. So, traders of the warrant do not see the future upside in the mother share, hence will offload it even though the warrant now becomes relatively cheap. This probably explains the extraordinary case that you are observing. In contrast, TMCLife is a profit making company.

Dear All,

In view that the current theme in play are stocks linked to GST and the petrol subsidy program, we have just published our Stock In Focus at http://tcb-sifs.blogspot.com/ featuring Dsonic.

Thank you for all your constant support of our blog. We wish you a very profitable trade in the market today. As always, please remember that discipline in trading is of utmost importance.

Profitman - thanks for your explanatory points on Takaso and its Wb. Yes, Takaso is loss making. Manipulating forces are driving its prices up. No wonder its Wb refuses to budge even though with huge discount. Takaso is gradually heading south now. Not going to look at it anymore. Appreciate your comments.

Hi duit - u opined that our KLCI will have to correct to 1725 level. If this rebound is not sustainable, probably you MAY be right in your earlier prediction !! Time will tell.

Hi sunflower22,
ASIAPAC:
After hitting a low of $0.225 on 16/10, the price went up the next day and formed a bullish engulfing pattern. Since then price trended upward and closed today at its current downtrend resistance line at $0.26. It needs to break above the downtrend line (now at $0.26 but lower following days) with volume in order to have a bullish implication (buy signal). Upon successful breakout, it will find its immediate strong resistance at $0.26/$0.265 and at $0.285 respectively before scaling further. However, the trading volume has been diminishing. So, if fail to breakout, it may likely to go into consolidation. Any weakness due to profit taking or overbought will find immediate support at $0.245 and $0.23 respectively. Stop loss if $0.225 is violated.

Happy Trading.

Hi michaelwoo,
PUC:
It is under consolidation. A break above $0.185 with volume, it is expected to test the next strong resistance at $0.205/$0.21 before it can scale higher. However, looking at the last few days’ attempts in testing but failing to close above $0.185 and with reduced volume, it is likely to continue in consolidation. Any weakness will find immediate support at $0.175 and $0.165. Stop Loss if $0.16 is violated.

Happy Trading.

Inwest8 - dow back up again. Surprisingly the broader market was generally very good and also our index was up and pretty steady. Probably playing catch up when whole of Asia was up on Wednesday. Blessing in disguise as we were not affected by the fall on the Dow. Most stocks were up with some continuing on their run like Inari, etc. Could not resist and bought a few counters. Looking to clear today. Happy trading !!

With the Dow registering a strong closing, hopefully our market follows suit. Sold Luxhem for a 8 sen gain and half of IFCA to lock in profits. Entered Dsonic, Csenice, YGL, Solution.

Inwest88, tsy88, Dunknow & all - Good Morning.

The Dow's performance lent credence to the limited downside it has which in turn would help steady our local bourse. Still, knowledge without discipline is dangerous.

Very happy to note some of you locked in profits on some up trending shares. Congratulations. We wish everyone a very profitable trading day!
