If you havent' notice, nobody wants US to be the middleman in their geopolitic affair anymore!
South China Sea, which is a hot topic among Asean leaders is now push under the rug despite US very proactive military drill!
I mean, who are you going to fool given how US has so far refuse to acknowledge Taiwan as a sovereign nation! Sending warship every now and then will do nothing! The fear factor no longer there! China has shown superiority in South China Sea and there's nothing US can do about it!
However, having said that, China previous aggressive moves have also slow down a lot! I mean, this military game thingys is very expensive! Keeping thousands of warships active 24/7 is draining money very quickly!
Given US already spent 10 trillion on wars and maintenance of it's military, such wasteful hobby no longer favored by top leaders!
At least China has been very smart colonizing many nations through debt diplomacy! Africa is practically owned by China now! Not a single shot has been fired too!
And we can see how Africa has become more peaceful nation since China came in! Unlike during US intervention where arms were sold to guerrillas and civil wars were daily routine for africans! Those days are gone!
And for US to manufacture a war from South China Sea conflict, i think US can take a hike!

Been a leader of democratic system, US has totally failed the rest of 180 nations!
And we are start to think that democracy is a faulty system! If US fails, then the rest of the 180 nations also going to fail!
Instead, socialism will be the new democracy! Or rather authoritarians will takeover!
