WCT gains on RM300m government job

WCT Bhd, a construction company, gained 2.3 per cent to RM2.64, bound for its highest close since Oct 28. The company won a RM300 million-contract to build government buildings in Kuala Lumpur, WCT said in a statement. -- Bloomberg

WCT gains on RM300m government job!

PETALING JAYA: WCT Bhd has secured a RM300.51mil contract from the Government to build the headquarters of the International Trade & Industry Ministry.

In filings with Bursa Malaysia, its said the contract awarded by Putrajaya Management Sdn Bhd included the design and build of the Government office building with Green Buildings Index Gold rating consisting of a 31-storey office tower, a two-storey carpark and a three-storey podium.

The works located at Jalan Khidmat Usaha, off Jalan Duta is expected to be completed in February 2015 and is expected to contribute positively to the company's earnings from 2012 to 2015.
