2 years has passed since I last commented on Dana Makmur Pheim Fund, helmed by Dr. Tan Chong Koay, one of the investors I admire the most.
The 4 stocks below are from https://www.pheimunittrusts.com/our-fund-dana-makmur-pheim/ & https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vsFKlJd135LTqQ3x4UzbvCcaxxmcloWi/view
1. DXN
2. KRONO
3. HIBISCS
4. KPPROP
DIFFERENCES:
1) Sectors. All 4 are from different sectors. DXN from healthcare consumer products, KRONO from tech digital services, HIBISCUS from oil & gas & KPPROP from property sector.
2) Market capitalisation. DXN & HIBISCS are large caps of RM3b and RM2b (i3investor data may not be correct) respectively. Last but not least, KRONO & KPPROP are small caps (both less than RM0.4b).
3) Dividends. With the exception of KRONO, the other 3 distributed dividends.
4) Possible Investment reasons. DXN-The increase of consumer awareness on healthcare & increase in purchasing power may lead to more purchases of healthcare consumer supplements. KRONO-Increased digitalisation & higher demand for digital storage needs leads to more demand for KRONO's products. HIBISCS-Strong global oil & gas demand, HIBISCS' recent acquisitions and its lower valuation than its peers. KPPROP-Strong recent financial performance and it's a property stock relatively undiscovered to Mr. Market yet.
SIMILARITIES:
1) Growth. All stocks had higher revenues and profits in the past year compared to 5 years ago, DXN could be higher too, but not confirmed, whose annual report was limited to 2020's records.
2) Profits. All 4 stocks had 4 consecutive profitable operations in the 4 recentmost quarters.
3) Cashflow positive. All four had positive cashflow from operations in their recentmost quarter report.
CONCLUSION:
These 4 stocks have very impressive financial performance. Furthermore, they are trading at reasonable valuations. Note that KRONO & HIBISCS have retained their top positions in Dana Makmur PHEIM's portfolio since 2021.
Try checking out these stocks. They could be worth a place in your portfolio, whether you're a short-term trader or long term-term investor.
