An Introduction into the rapid recovering sector in MALAYSIA

With a steadfast recovery trend in Malaysia, foot fall across the country had been recovering close to pre-pandemic levels. In our sharing today, one of the sub-segments that investors often miss out would be the Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising space.

Had you noticed some of the advertising screens placed across Malaysia by Lantern Media Group?


It is interesting to see how alongside with the increase in footfall, the demand for advertising space will increase as well. Here are some of the clienteles by Lantern Media Group.


Now if you are reading this, more than likely you are a serious investor – or, you are just reading out of boredom. Regardless, what I wanted to highlight is DOOH is certainly recapturing the market as we speak.


For your information, Lantern Media Group is considered to be a smaller sized DOOH company in Malaysia. In terms of size, Media Prima Bhd, the tier 1 media company in Malaysia should be in the watchlist of many investors.


However, an even more creative company – Seni Jaya Corporation Bhd is gathering interest around the market rapidly with the launch of DOOH as well as programmatic DOOH under their collaboration with Grab and other fleet operators.



I may not be an expert in technical analysis field, but Seni Jaya share price had dropped 10.65% since the beginning of the year to date even the market has begun to recover.


So, what had caused the divergence between a recovering business and falling share price? I believe this is what investors called “value divergence”. For value investors out there, make sure you take note of the opportunity.
