Apple Maps has been rolling out transit directions for several years now, according to the MacRumours website.

It was first rolled out in Baltimore, Berlin, Boston, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Sydney, Toronto and China, according to MacRumours.

To plan a route, users must first enter their destination. They then tap on "Directions" and select "Transport" and then the desired route. The connection that is the fastest route according to current traffic conditions will always be displayed at the top.
