Reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong has discovered that Facebook has a new feature in the works that will give college students a space on the social media platform exclusive to themselves.

Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse software engineer who made her name in the industry by taking apart the code of mobile applications to discover new tools and features not yet released to the public, reported on Thursday that Facebook appears to be developing something new called Campus, a space that will be exclusive to college students.

Because Facebook started out as a college-oriented platform when Mark Zuckerburg created it during his Harvard days, this new space is seemingly an ode to the platform's origins.

Users interested in using the new space will only be able to access it with their.edu email address where they will then be able to input information about themselves like their graduation year, major, minor and dorm. This information will be used by the platform to connect users with those in the same classes and programs.

As of right now, the feature looks incredibly primitive as it's in the early stages of development. If Campus ever does reach the public, it's likely to be several months away still.
