E-Mini Dow

U.S. stock index futures slipped on Thursday, a day after Wall Street closed at record levels, as a spike in the number of deaths and new cases related to the coronavirus outbreak in China sent investors scurrying to safe-haven assets.

Wall Street lost ground on Thursday, backing away from record highs as investors digested new coronavirus developments and mixed corporate earnings. The S&P 500 lost 5.51-points to settle at 3373.94.

E-Mini Nasdaq

 

While a drop in Cisco Systems Inc shares helped keep the blue-chip Dow in the red, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq rebounded and were both on track to eke out their fourth consecutive record closing highs.

HSI

Hong Kong stocks fell from a three-week high on Thursday as worries over the coronavirus outbreak heightened after the number of new confirmed cases and deaths soared in China’s Hubei province.

At the close of trade, the Hang Seng index was down 0.3% at 27,730, off its highest level since Jan. 24 hit earlier in the session.
