anyone got stuck in steel counters? As US steel counters rallied, bad news for ours.

If hefty import by the US to curbs steel and aluminium on over capacity supply country like China and besides others including Malaysia with trades laws comes into force, thurs may dampened demands in steel exports supplying countries which may resulted and affected their profits margin in the long,so continuing buying steel counters at such a high price is still risks.

WASHINGTON: The U.S. Commerce Department has recommended that President Donald Trump impose steep curbs on steel and aluminum imports from China and other countries ranging from global and country-specific tariffs to broad import quotas, according to proposals released on Friday. ""The steel imports included Malaysia.""

Malaysian steel makers export their products to US? I think in very very small portion only. Top three are Canada, Brazil and South Korea.

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2018/02/17/china-rebuts-us-plan-to-hefty-import-curbs-on-steel-aluminum/
If China can't export much to U.S in th efuture, then it has to find alternative markets.
Now that is a risk to other Asia steel producers.
If there is a plug off effect going taking place to an existing demand, how much further can China afford to reduce production?
