Crude futures settle lower
NEW YORK, Aug. 16 -- Oil prices fell on Friday.
The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery lost 1.51 U.S. dollars, or 1.93 percent, to settle at 76.65 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery decreased by 1.36 dollars, or 1.68 percent, to settle at 79.68 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
