When you see the title of this article, many of you may think I am too optimistic and some may think I am joking. But after you have read this article, most of you will agree with my prediction. 

Since the covid 19 pandemic started in Wuhan, China about 2 years ago, the corona virus has been spreading like wild fire. The number of daily new cases in every country has been surging very rapidly. Fortunately, vaccine was discovered to prevent people from the virus. On 10 January 2020, the SARS-CoV-2 genetic sequence data was shared through GISAID, and by 19 March, the global pharmaceutical industry announced a major commitment to address COVID‑19.

The COVID‑19 vaccines are widely credited for their role in reducing the severity and death caused by COVID‑19. Many countries have implemented phased distribution plans that prioritize those at highest risk of complications, such as the elderly, and those at high risk of exposure and transmission, such as healthcare workers.

As of 10 February 2022, 10.32 billion doses of COVID‑19 vaccines have been administered worldwide based on official reports from national public health agencies. By December 2020, more than 10 billion vaccine doses had been pre-ordered by many countries around the world.

The best way to protect yourself and other people are:  

1. Vaccination.

2. Stay at home. If you have to go out, you must stay at least 1 metre away from another person. Practice social distancing.

3. If you have to go out, always wear a face mask.

4. Wash your hands as soon as you return home.

5. Physical exercise to improve your immune system.

In fact, vaccination and wearing face masks are mandatory in many countries especially when their numbers of daily new cases are surging.

Besides vaccination, physical exercise will improve your immune system. 

US, India, Brazil, France and UK are the 5 countries which have the greatest number of Covid 19 cases in the world.

US has the most Covid 19 cases in the world. Currently, it has a total of 77.6 million cases and 918,000 deaths. On 10 Jan US had 1.434 million new cases and 11 Feb US had only 169,790 new cases. The number of new cases has plunged so sharply within 1 month, as shown on the 2 charts below.   

India has the 2^nd most Covid 19 cases in the world. Currently, it has a total of 42.6 million cases and 508,000 deaths. On 21 Jan India had 337,704 new cases and 11 Feb India had only 50,407 new cases. The number of new cases has plunged so sharply within 1 month, as shown on the 2 charts below. 

Brazil has the 3^nd most Covid 19 cases in the world. Currently, it has a total of 27.3 million cases and 637,000 deaths. On 27 Jan Brazil had 229,702 new cases and 11 Feb Brazil had only 163,786 new cases. The number of new cases has plunged so sharply within 1 month, as shown on the 2 charts below. 

France has the 4^th most Covid 19 cases in the world. Currently, it has a total of 21 million cases and 132,000 deaths. On 25 Jan France had 501,635 new cases and 11 Feb France had only 122,871 new cases. The number of new cases has plunged so sharply within 1 month, as shown on the 2 charts below. 

UK has the 5^th most Covid 19 cases in the world. Currently, it has a total of 18.3 million cases and 159,000 deaths. On 4^th Jan UK had 221,222 new cases and 11 Feb UK had only 58,664 new cases. The number of new cases has plunged so sharply within 1 month, as shown on the 2 charts below. 

Just to recap, US has the most Covid 19 cases in the world. Currently, it has a total of 77.6 million cases and 918,000 deaths. On 10 Jan US had 1.434 million new cases and 11 Feb US had only 169,790 new cases. The number of new cases has plunged so sharply within 1 month, as shown on the 2 charts above.

As I pointed out above, the number of new cases in each of the 5 countries has been plunging so sharply within the last one month. At this rate of reduction of new case, I predict the Covid 19 pandemic will end with the next 3 months, provided there is no more   new variant.
