Due to the historical high CPO price, all the plantation stocks have been going up quite rapidly in the last few months. As I said before, no shock can continuously go up for whatever reason. After some time, it will drop. In the last few weeks, most of the plantation stock prices have been dropping. It looks like the price correction is over.
But today all the plantation stocks continued their upward trend. Today every plantation stock went up and no one dropped in price.
Due to the current Ukraine-Russia conflict, the prices for sun-flower and corn oil have gone up which is helping to push up our CPO price. Moreover, the Indonesia Government imposed 20% export restriction for CPO to help local consumers. As shown on the CPO price chart above, CPO price started to go up about 2 years ago.
Among all the stock selection criteria such as NTA, dividend yield, cash flow, debt or healthy account etc the most important consideration is profit growth prospect.

Dun be conned. Tecguan Q3 revenue only RM27m while its inventory was RM121m. It was purposely held back for better price in Q4. All cheap stock was sold in Q4 thus it recorded RM325m in Revenue while stock dropped to RM47m. Next qtr profit will drop.

all the shallow-minded people bashing kyy haha. yes he is wrong (sometimes intentionally) 90% of the time but you need to be objective. teck guan is in that 10%.
