The latest record shows that the United States has the most Covid 19 cases in the world, a lot more than China.

The biggest culprit is Donald Trump. He repeatedly refused to wear a mask and mocked Biden

President downplayed the value of masks, refused to be seen wearing one, politicising safety as pandemic raged in the US.

From the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, President Donald Trump has projected a cavalier attitude towards mask-wearing, refusing to wear a mask in public and mocking others who do.

Trump routinely appears without a mask as he carries on a high-risk campaign travel schedule of public rallies he sarcastically calls “peaceful protests” as he pushes to reopen the US economy to win re-election.

The photo below showed Trump and all spectators were not wearing face masks.

In keeping with his theme of downplaying the virus, Trump has repeatedly dismissed the value of wearing masks in his public statements and appearances despite health officials’ recommendations that masks are essential to stem the spread of the virus.

Moreover, Americans want to exercise their freedom to protest against wearing face masks as shown below.  

Chronic health problems found in recovered COVID-19 patients.

Many of those who have recovered from the coronavirus face long-term complications.

The researchers found that the COVID Long phenomenon was similar to lasting complications of other coronaviruses, such as SARS and MERS. Some of those recovering from these other viruses reported symptoms for years and even permanent complications.

Studies of recovered COVID-19 patients referenced in the report show up to 80% reported persistent and severe fatigue following their recovery, and significant numbers of recovered patients experienced other symptoms as well. These included headaches, sleep disorders, difficulty concentrating, memory issues, problems with daily functioning and ongoing impairment of the senses of taste and odor.

Recovered Covid 19 patients will be long term burden to the families and the government.  

US has 95,345,858 Covid 19 cases, 1,065,569 deaths and about 94 million recovered patients.

Why China's Covid 19 cases is much lower than US?

Early intervention: Over the past 18 months, there have been several localised clusters when cases from abroad have spread into Chinese cities. Yet there have been almost no deaths recorded.

A pulmonary doctor at Beijing's Chaoyang hospital who did not want to be named because he was not authorised to speak to the media, told the ABC that compulsory COVID-19 testing and early detection of cases was likely the key factor in preventing deaths. 

"Other countries don't have the same ability to do COVID screening at the same speed or scale as China," the doctor told the ABC. 

"It means infections are detected at a very early stage and medical intervention begins quickly.

Moreover, China’s aim at zero Covid 19 cases. That was why Shanghai immediately lockdown when a few new cases were discovered. China values human lives more important than money.
