To counter China’s “soft power”, UK new Prime Minister, Sunak said he planned to close all 30 of China’s Confucius Institutes in the UK. Confucius Institutes are China-funded educational and cultural centers that offer Chinese language courses, train teachers and hold the HSK Examination (Chinese proficiency test).
Obviously Sunak wants to follow United States’ policy of depressing China, acting like Biden’s lap dog.
Sunak is making a big mistake in his refusal to collaborate with China for mutual benefit. China is a very big market. He is making the same mistake as Brexit, UK getting out of EU which is a big market. He does not even understand the basic principle of doing business.
China is the factory of the world. It can produce almost everything cheaper than UK. UK consumers should buy Chinese products to save money so that China can buy things which UK can produce cheaper or not available in China.
In fact, Sunak should encourage UK citizens to learn Chinese to be able to trade with China because China is the second if not the richest nation in the world.
Why were the teachings of Confucius so important to the leaders of China?
Confucius’ teachings became the state philosophy of China during the Han Dynasty. His teachings were the basis of the government civil service exams. The government liked Confucianism because it taught to respect authority and that a strong central government was important.
What did Confucius teach about leadership?
Confucius highlighted the duties of a leader by explaining the proper way to think, act, and make decisions in government positions. Qualities such as continual learning, frugality, humility, confidence, commitment, and loyalty are all examples found within his teachings that provide a framework for leadership.
Did Confucius believe in respect for everyone?
The Confucian solution. Confucius believed that to restore order, societies had to encourage certain virtues, such as loyalty, trustworthiness, and respecting your elders. He believed people were capable of attaining these and other virtues through education.
The Confucian leader gains the support and confidence of his followers through virtue and not violence. He prefers to “rule by virtue” rather than “rule by laws”. In political leadership, Confucius believed that a government is ruled by a leader’s personal and moral values.

Confucius has good wisdom, knowledge and understanding and his teachings are very philosophical.
Fortunately, there is no element of religion in them so the Chinese government which is applying communism ideology (do not believe in God) in the government, can blend/adopted the teachings of Confucius as the state philosophy like during the Han dynasty.

Communism was founded in Europe and not in China or Russia.
The ideology was brought to the New World but not successful like the Democrats or Republicans.

Japheth will enlarge their lands/territories, concurring others' land and turning Canaan (Why not the father ham?) into slaves.
But Japheth need to depend on Shem (the Jews come from Shem, anti-Semitism, Anti-Shem), live in the tents of Shem.
USA is depending on the Jews.

Confucius also got good wisdom but not recorded that the wisdom came from God.

Confucius lived about 2,600 years ago.
His teachings about not to do what you do not want others to do unto you was mentioned by Jesus, captured in the Bible.
Mathew 7:12 - 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Luke 6:31 - 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Maybe Jesus got the ideal from Confucius also.
But in the Old Testament/Tanakh, Leviticus,

“‘Do not lie.
“‘Do not deceive one another.
12 “‘Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.
13 “‘Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.

The Confucius Institute is run by the CCP United Front Department, which is the overseas propaganda arm or disinformation wing of the CCP. They are well known for harassing and intimidating overseas Chinese students (mainland or non-China citizens) in US, Australia, Canada and UK, if they go against the CCP's narratives or . It is like having Malaysian Biro Tata Negara settiing up language centres in foreign universities and providing their narratives about fantastic race based policies in Malaysia.

I don't deny UK university education is good,BUT thing starts to change now. With less funding, UK universities have to go commercial. They are now business oriented. Tuition fees for medical courses at least rm 1 million for a 5 year course, last time was only rm 300k in 2003 excluding lodging, living and travelling expenses (Don't ask me why I know, my daughter still with NHS).
