Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd has agreed to collaborate with Tenaga Nasional Bhd's (TNB) subsidiary, Tenaga Cable Industries Sdn Bhd, on another multi-million-ringgit contract to supply low-voltage power cables. Betamek Bhd, en route to the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on Oct 26, posted a net profit of RM4.65mil on a revenue of RM48.6mil in the second quarter ended Sept 30. The electronics manufacturing services provider’s earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter was 1.22 sen. Yinson Holdings Bhd has secured a contract extension worth US$3.4mil (RM16.04mil) for the charter of one floating production, storage and offloading or FPSO vessel. The energy infrastructure group, in a Bursa Malaysia filing, said the contract was extended for one month commencing from Oct 17 to Nov 16. ACE Market-listed HPP Holdings Bhd’s net profit doubled year-on-year to RM4.28 million for the first quarter ended Aug 31, 2022 (1QFY23), from RM1.98 million a year ago, due to higher sales and favourable foreign exchange (forex). Caely Holdings Bhd (CHB) has set plans to expand its manufacturing business segment via a proposed joint venture with an Indonesian counterpart for a new production facility with a total investment value of US$800,000. Digi.com Bhd’s shares climbed in early trade Friday, after it reported earnings that were broadly in line with expectations. The telco rose five sen, or 1.43% to RM3.55 at 9.42 am. Some members of the investment community have relayed their concerns over Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd’s dividend sustainability, and the ability of the group to uphold its commitment to distributing at least 75% of its annually reported net profit to shareholders.
