Trade war.....US-China
Started by Trump, why?
Its politics....and that Trump is a white supremacist and extreme racists, willing to the stop the peaceful rise of China even if it means cutting off America's (and the world's) own toes.
minor retaliation by China so far.
but who got the least tolerance for pain? America.
Americans got no tolerance for pain....a little more pain, the whole attack will unravel.
...impact on stock market?
stock market is news driven, emotional driven......
from here, I expect good news to come in rather than bad news.......
don't simply sell in panic......after all, the best profits are made by facing risks and proven right later.
ps....
don't sailang, American stock market is not in a healthy situation with left over excessive exuberance from last year tax cuts and rising interest rate environment this year. Local stock market also not in its prime heath because too many retailers injured already,
don't sailang...but I expect it to be a good market for traders like me.

My personal opinion who will win the trade war, US Vs China if there is a trade war? Anyhow I pray common/business sense will prevail.
China had been humiliated and bullied by foreign power during the end of Qing Dynasty. Modern China had to fight the Japanese, undergone civil war, endures the breakout of Taiwan from Mainland China, civil strife and fail society under Chairman Mao rule. Luckily under Deng rule and his open policy, China had progress in leap and bound to become the second largest economy in the world. China people after undergoing years of tribulation, hardship and suffering and now enjoyed the fruit of China success had identified themselves with the state that had improved their standard of living beyond their imagination. Look at what happen to South Korea’s Lotte Department Stores in China. China people are boycotting them until many stores are bleeding money and had to close down.
If trade war escalates between China and America all the China people will boycott products make in America. America had enjoyed the labor of others to sustain their unsustainable habit of spending beyond their mean. America people are polarized by their color of skin, political polarization and a bullying no brain President. So when hardships start to creep in, who will stand unite and who will revolt?
