KLANG: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia is looking at initiating action against three of its Selangor assemblymen for not toeing the party line.

Selangor Bersatu chief Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari, however, said the party leadership had yet to decide on the scope and type of action.

"We are looking at initiating something but I cannot say exactly what at this point of time,'' said Abdul Rashid.

The Bersatu vice-president was referring to Mohd Shaid Rosli (Jeram), Sallehudin Amiruddin (Kuang) and Harumaini Omar (Batang Kali) who pledged support for the Pakatan Harapan state government even though their party was no longer part of the coalition.

The trio had said they would continue supporting Pakatan because they won their respective seats under the coalition's banner in the last general election.

"It is a matter of principle,'' said Mohd Shaid, who is also the Kuala Selangor Bersatu division chief, when contacted.

Mohd Shaid said it was up to the party if they wanted to take action.

He added as far as he and his party colleagues were concerned, they had done nothing wrong and were merely speaking up for themselves.

He also claimed they had not flouted the Bersatu party constitution by proclaiming support for Pakatan.
