PETALING JAYA: The names of three aides to V. Sivakumar, including his two senior officers, arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have been removed from the Human Resources Ministry’s website.

Checks also showed that the details of another aide of the Human Resources Minister who was believed to be a special officer has been removed from the minister’s office’s segment.

It is learnt that this aide, however, is not among the two arrested. The three are also believed to have been suspended from their duties.

The Star has reached out to Sivakumar for comments.

Sivakumar had given his statement at the MACC headquarters earlier on Sunday (April 16), following the arrest of two of his officers in connection with a case involving the recruitment of foreign workers.

On Thursday, MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that Sivakumar's private secretary was arrested.

On Wednesday, Sivakumar’s senior officer along with a businessman were detained in connection with the case.

The senior officer was believed to be a former DAP Socialist Youth (Dapsy) leader.

The two suspects, aged between 40 and 50, were picked up at the KLIA around 1am upon their arrival from Bangkok, Thailand.

The suspects were also remanded until tomorrow to assist in the investigation.
