Since then Pohuat(power huat) rose to a high of Rm3.80 (and split) Up a whopping 200%. It was a chun chun call.
Calvin's 3rd Rule is. "HE THAT IS LOW NEEDS FEAR NO FALL". So I generally avoid telling people to chase high flying stocks. However, I think Pohuat is an exception.
These are the Top 8 Reasons why I think Pohuat should still be good for the foreseeable future:
1) POHUAT HAS CONSISTENT DOUBLE DIGIT GROWTH
Last 3 quarter earnings already 21.93 sen (8.28 + 8.97 + 4.68)
At current price of Rm1.82 just 3 quarters earning Pohuat's P/E already 8.29. Coming QTR this June should bring down P/E further.
As of now (just 3 Quarters) the yield is already a commendable 12% (21.93 divides by Rm1.82) 3 times that of Bank FD at 4%.
2) WHY POHUAT Has Such Good Growth Rate compared to its peers - Lihen, Hevea & Latitude)?
The answer is this:
a) Pohuat has 4 factories in Malaysia & 2 Factories in Vietnam. And Vietnam has the Bigger Capacity!
b) It employs 1,500 workers in Malaysia while its work Force in Vietnam is 3 times more at 5,000 strong
c) So Pohuat has a very competitive edge due to its lower cost of manufacturing expenses & ability to secure workers in Vietnam at competitive wages.
All these translates to a stronger bottom line than all others.
3) FURNITURE BUSINESS IS ALSO WARREN BUFFET's Forte As It Generates Exceptional Profits.
Warren Buffet used to say, "If I am out looking for a 7 footer guy a 5 foot 5 guy won't do"
When Warren meant is this, "If he is out looking for a company with superior yield - a mediocre one won't do"
In time past I used to watch how Main Road Frontage Lands are tenanted to New & Used Car Showrooms because they command high prices. Only one business other than Car Dealers dare to rent them - Furniture Showrooms. Why? The answer is because they command very high profits. A set of furniture cost Rm200 to make could be marked up to Rm1,000 or more! So the profit could be few hundred per cent! Even if they marked down by 50% discount these Furniture Shops still make decent profits. Now you know why Warren Buffet owns some of the Biggest Furniture Companies in the US.
4) VIETNAM NOW IN HOT HOT PROPERTY BOOM
Unlike Malaysia suffering downturn Vietnam is now in a Hot Property Boom Time. And furniture will be needed for new homes. And office furniture also needed for new businesses all over Vietnam. This augurs well for Pohuat as its 2 Factories are well positioned
5) DONALD TRUMP NEEDS VIETNAM TO HELP RESTRAIN CHINA
Donaln Trump has met up with Vietnam Top Boss and asked for help to restrain China in its advance in the South China Sea. As such I think Donald will spare Viewnam if there is any capital control on imports to the US. Again, this is a Plus Point for Pohuat.

Can u imagine you promote so aggresive with the misleading article title i.e: Most undervalue stock in the world etc but end up u only buying 3.5 lots??

Nice tread & discussions here. I wish all of you make money in year 2014. I still love PM Corp & MUI Berhad even though they are in downtrending mode.
For this year apart from MUI Berhad I think these Shares Will Perform Well:
1) GMutual. GMutual is dealing in commercial & industrial properties in Iskandar Region. Since Singapore Govt is encouraging SME to relocate to Iskandar I think GMutual should do very well
GMutual's Bosses regularly attend Talks Given by OSK Investment Bank Experts From KL. OSK Iskandar Top Boss said that GMutual Bosses are very conservative people. They also own Dominant Enterprize.
Over the years I have observed GMutual Buying Up Small Pieces of Prime MainRoad Frontage Land in Iskandar for Commercial Use. They just launched Austin 18 - Offices.
I heard that they received Overwhelming response in Sales.
So GMutual should make you good money if you keep until Nov 2014.
2) SILK HOLDINGS
Recently, I visited KL. Very terrible traffic jams every where! I think SILK HOLDINGS' Toll Road Should Do Very Well.
Kajang Is Now A Property Hotspot Leading To Population Boom. More People equals More Cars & Lorries. That Means SILK Toll Will Benefit Well. Plus Toll Rise Will Add To Silk's profits.
What Puchong did to LITRAK Is What Kajang Growth Will Do To SILK.
3) OPCOM
OPCOM Is Another Debt Free & Cash Rich Company. Opcom Also Give generous dividend. Now OPCOM Has Just Received A New RM43 Million Fiber Optic Order From Telekom Malaysia. RM43 Millions equal to about 15 Cents' profit.
That's Another 20% Future Growth or Dividend.
Do your own due diligence in buying or selling.

3 Times Pm Corp crossed 30 sen for 100% upside

Recently I paid I visit to JPO for shopping with my son.
These are the positive for PADINI
1) Padini has an edge in fitting for Asian people. Most imported shirts are of larger size made for Americans. Padini Slim Sized Shirts Fit Asian Bodies Perfectly. Others are too big and baggy
2) Padini has Brand Name With Designer Trend
3) Padini Prices Are Very Competitive.
As Such The Crowd Gravitates To Padini like bees to honey.
More so for Extra 28 Million Tourists This Year.
Conclusion: Padini Should Be Doing Very Well.
Both myself and my son bought shirts from Padini. VALUE FOR MONEY!

Do you know that it takes 100% to go up from 50 sen to Rm1.00?
And to drop 50% from Rm1.00 to half is 50 sen.
So to go up 100% is double..
Double effort.
To drop by half is only half the effort.
That means that is will be hard to make 100%
50 sen going up to Rm1.00
But easy to go down by 50% from Rm1.00 to 50 sen
That is the reason why we must always take care of the downside first.
Always go defensive.
Take good care of the downside and the upside shall take care of itself.
Dr. Tan Chong Khay of Pheim said stocks go up by the elevator buy go down by the lift.
So it takes time for stocks to climb up slowly and sreadily. But when stock crashes it crashes like falling over a cliff.

Mr Tay Khim Seng bought into Pohuat warrants lately.
What is the reason?
Warrants are instrument of bull market.
It amplifies profits when mother share goes up. It also exarcerbate losses when mother share goes down.
Now Calvin also bought Drb30 at 12 sen because Calvin is bullish on Drb
To Calvin's good fortune Drb C30 flew to 36 sen for a 200% windfall.
So will pohuat warrant also power up more.
It remains to been seen how pohuat result comes out only in weeks away.

Calvin, don't bull shit people by giving wrong fact ! Poh Huat is paying 2 sen per quarter for the past year. So, assume 8 sen per year, its yield is 4.39%

Pohuat in 3 quarters made 12% already.
By this month when result is out the earning should exceed 18%.
Dividend yield is not a benchmark. It is the overall growth that counts.
