Hi Guys,

I have An Investment Approach I which I would like to all.

Dear Friends/Fellow Investors of i3 forum,

I want to highlight Jaks again - less you go in blindly thinking of all the rosy prospects that Jaks will get from its Vietnam Power Plant

Let me illustrate to give a picture of what the ending might be

THE STORY OF MR. LIM - THE KAJANG CONTRACTOR

Last time in KL I got an expert contractor friend - Mr. Lim from Kajang. A very honest hard working guy. When I visited Kajang years ago Mr. Lim would point to me

"SEE, THE SHOPHOUSES NEAR THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS?"

"THESE WERE BUILT BY ME, " Mr. Lim said proudly.

"Look, those 2 Shophouses there. Also built by me", he said gleefully.

What a proud & happy contractor. And very successful also

Then one day Mr. Lim told me, "I have won a contract to build 200 High End houses in Bandar Utama". Mr. Lim said happily. As if he hit a Big Fortune.

Months passed. Then one year and the next before I met him again. Mr. Lim must be very busy working & making a Huge Fortune I thought. He must have forgotten Calvin his good friend.

Finally, I decided to pay him a visit.

Then I got the Whole Story.

"Mr. Lim, you must have made A BIG FORTUNE and now forgot me your good friend", I greeted him with these words.

Mr. Lim replied, "Aiya Calvin, the 200 houses were finally completed & handed over with the keys finally", sighed Mr Lim

I said, "Wow! 200 Houses were your creation. 200 Master pieces! Congratulations! And you must have been paid handsomely"?

"No" Mr. Lim retorted. "If I knew what was coming & I could see the ending I would not have taken this project"

Scratching my head in surprise I queried, "Why? Isn't the Developer Reputable? Didn't he pay up on time? What's wrong?"

And I got more curious (By the way. The Developer is a Reputable Publicly Listed Company in KLSE)

No. The problem is not with the Developer or the payment. It was "something" else

"What's that?" I got very very curious now. Eagerly bending forward to hear what Mr. Lim got to say.

"It's like this", he continued.

"When I was ready to deliver the 200 Completed Houses the guy in charge of inspection gave me lots of problems"

He said among the 200 houses many of the gates and fencing were not accurately installed -- even to a few milimeter. He was a perfectionist to the very detail. And the fencing must not be one cm higher or lower. All must be aligned to perfection.

Whoa! I got to redo and redo and redo again and again and again all over the places.

So how? " I finally found out" Mr Lim replied. "Found out what,??" I asked in surprise

"FOUND OUT THAT HE WANTED MONEY", Mr. Lim. They said water no come ship cannot move lah.,

So Mr. Lim was held at ransom because that "Guy" sits in high chair. After paying for the gate & fencing inspection which now got passed easily. The wheel of corruption  now greased they moved to the front door & the windows.

"Ha, not all doors were polished to perfection. Or painted to perfection. Some door surface not polished enough - still rough - polish again lah. And the paint job on the door is only 97% perfect - not totally 100% perfect lah

Mr. Lim got to redo and redo. Repaint and repaint most of the 200 doors.

Mr. Lim stopped and protested, "Why still give me so much problem since I already "PAID" you.

Ha! You only paid for the gate & fencing inspection. You got to pay up for the "Front Door & Window" inspection or else you want me to " fail you"?

Reluctantly, Mr. Lim "PAY" up again. Another payment means another cut into Mr. Lim's profits

Ok now move inside the house.

Now Mr. Lim got to pay  for mosaics which are not defective BUT NOT 100% PERFECT. So pay Up!

The Ceiling not painted evenly 100%. So pay again

The Toilet & washroom? Also got to pay to pass inspection.

Then the backyard garden. Every small stone or soil misplaced every tiny weeny mistake can be an impediment.

So Mr. Lim pay and pay and pay and pay through his nose.

All his "expected profits" gone up like smoke.

In stead of a Fortune he could hardly cover his cost & only a little leftover.

And I got the Story. Heart breaking story indeed.

Mr. Lim stood up and made a resolve (almost swearing) "I WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT BIG CONTRACTING PROJECTS. I DON'T MIND TO EAT LESS IF I HAVE THE PEACE OF MIND & GET PAID HONESTLY FOR SMALL JOBS DONE"

Years passed. One day I called Kajang Lim from Singapore, "How are you Kajang Lim"?

Mr. Lim replied, "I am now happily retired in Kajang. And they promoted me to be the KETUA of My Village?"

"Is there still a Village in Kajang?" I wondered.

Maybe I should go pay him a visit?

Now JAKS has very high hope of landing a Fortune in faraway Vietnam. Power plants?

In India Mudajaya got into hiccup & problems. And Mudajaya crashed from  Rm2.60 to Rm1.10

Will Jaks do well? Earn a Big Fortune?

Only time will tell

Regards

Calvin Tan

Further note:

Calvin bought Jaks 10 years ago at 60 sen when "Ah Fei" from KL recommended it to me. Jaks jumped to Rm1.20 & I sold it off for a 100% profit. After selling Jaks it powered  to Rm1.40 & My Remisier phoned me, "Hey! You still got some Jaks shares you forgot to sell. In no time I unloaded all my last Jaks shares above Rm1.40 & didn't look back until...

Until Cyclical Jaks crashed to the low of 40 Sen on December 2014 when I shouted for all to buy

Whoa!

Top boss bought at 44 cents and above, millions of them. Anything below 40 cents is a bargain!

So don't wait or else Jaks jump Jump JUMP Up And Away!

And Jaks jumped to over Rm1.20 again this round. Then Jumped again past Rm1.60

Being a Cyclical it will go back down again just like the Ferris Wheel.

So better don't play play.
