So let's calculate
Now Cpo at Rm5,310
So the profit is Rm5,310 minus Rm1,465
= Rm3,845
= 262.4% profit
What else could make 262.4% profit today

About 2% razor thin profit
What else?
Gloves?
ASP dropping & dropping --- soon will be losses

A agree. There is a lot of fun making $1,000 one day, $4,000 next day, $10,000 the next etc. Those are good news.
The fun stops and pain comes when suddenly you lose $50,000 in a morning.
The pain grows when next you try to make back the losses, but instead, lose another $100,000.
Those are bad news. Unfortunately, that is closer to reality.
So?
SO THERE IS NOTHING MORE POWERFUL IN EARNINGS THAN PALM OIL FOR NOW

Gloves got fierce competition from China
Glove factories could be set up in 6 months' time but palm oil needs at least 5 years from scouting land, planting to the harvest of first fruits. So palm oil got high time lapse barrier to entry
You could make gloves 24 hours non stop. You cannot grow plants as it needs SUNLIGHT. Each day is only limited to 12 hour sunlight

Calvin sifu, regardless even if CPO hits RM5,000-RM6,000 or when listed companies posted high/ increased profits/ special dividends, the stock prices of these listed companies wont increase unless a swarm of big fish/ whale come and buy all the way limit up. Example, uncle KYY has been silent on palm oil stocks =)
Can only just enjoy dividends, thats about it.

calvin, your above calculation for thplant is seriously flawed.Dont bring people Holland.! Go work out 2nd quarter profit per ton cpo.

The share market is set up with the intention to buy shares of real companies selling real goods or providing real services for profits
As such they give out dividends to reward share holders
Share price rise or not is secondary
I rather buy a good profit making company and can sleep well every night rather than go playing with shares with inferior earnings

The figure of Rm1,465 cost per ton was mentioned by thplant and that is only a general guide
It can go higher or lower like Uplant (less than Rm1300 a ton cost)
