Our hearts glowed with the thoughts of God's precious promises. That Jesus Christ has promised to return again the second time to rapture His saints & bring them all away to heaven

Our text in this message is Hebrews 11:22

King James Bible

By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

Amplified Bible

By faith Joseph, when he was dying, referred to [the promise of God for] the exodus of the sons of Israel [from Egypt], and gave instructions concerning [the burial of] his bones [in the land of the promise].

All things in Old Testament points to Jesus Christ

And the Life of Joseph resembles Jesus Christ in many points

1. Joseph was the favourite of Jacob and Jesus is the Only Beloved Begotten Son of God
2. Joseph was sold by his brothers for 20 pieces of silver into slavery. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver
3. Joseph descended from Canaan into Egypt while Jesus descended from heaven to earth
4. In Egypt Joseph became a slave in Potiphar house. Jesus took the form of man and made Himself servant of all
5. Joseph was tempted by Potiphar's wife. Jesus was tempted by Satan for 40 days in the desert
6. Joseph went from slavery to prison while Jesus went into prison and then to crucifixion
7. Joseph was highly exalted by Pharaoh while Jesus is exalted far far above all principalities & powers
8. Pharaoh told every one to bow the knee to Joseph while all in Heaven, on earth & under the sea will one day bow the knee to Jesus Christ being LORD OF LORDS & KING OF KINGS
9. In Egypt Joseph was given a wife called Asenath. Jesus is given The Church the Bride of Christ
10. Joseph revealed himself to his brothers and they got a shock and then cried. Jesus will one day reveal Himself to the Nation of Israel as the Messiah they Crucified. It will be a great shock and a time of great crying in Israel
11. Joseph saved his world from famine. Jesus comes to save our souls & bodies and give us eternal life
12. At his death Joseph made mention of the exodus... Israel will leave Egypt for Canaan & told concerning his bones to be carried off from Egypt to Canaan

This was an act of faith

See His Promise

14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

⁴ And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST IS THE MOST REPEATED THEME OF THE ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT

Out of every 25th Verse One Verse tells of Jesus Christ second coming again to earth

The final words of Jesus are these

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

AMEN! SO COME LORD JESUS!

Now Joseph died and was embalmed

Not Jesus. It was on a Sunday when they came with Spices to embalm the body of Jesus but HE IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD!

Joseph has 4 changes of clothes

1. The Clothes of many colors his father gave him
2. The clothes Potiphar's wife took from him when he fled
3. The Prisoner's clothes he wore
4. The Clothes which Pharaoh adorned him

Until today Joseph's earth remains await the Coming of the Messiah

For Jesus

1. He was wrapped in swaddling clothes as a baby
2. Clothes he wore as a carpenter
3. Purple robe which soldiers adorned and mocked him
4. The clothes or napkins in which he was wrapped and buried

TODAY JESUS IS CLOTHED IN SHINING BRIGHT LIGHTS

AND ALL SINCE JOSEPH'S TIME TILL NOW EXPECT THESE

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

15And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

16But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
