in comparison with Top Glove, supermax RSS has reduced significantly and the price has been stablize around 1.50. Now the factor to move the price up or down would be the audit findings from Canada and also the investigation from UK. Forget bout US as that would take months to settle.

Said forced labor but at the end of day the US and Europe companies are the one unwilling to pay higher procurement price. Are u expecting the suppliers here to increase their costs significantly to take care of the workers wellfare and wellbeings? If yes, then pay higher for the procurement price and insist the suppliers to comply with ESG standards. The reason they outsourced here is because of this cheap "forced labor". else why they want to outsource here and not produce the parts in Europe or US?

When JPM TP 3.50 in Dec 2020, all the factors remain the same e.g. ASP normalizing, Vaccination, Lower cases, expansion and competition. Just a reminder that JPM never expected Vaccination isnt working as expected, another wave hitting Europe and would hit Asia again, Delta Plus, Power crunch in China and supply chain bottleneck in shipping, and how ASP has been dropping fast until it deter new players from China and locals to get into the bandwagon. Now with all these new factors, JPM didnt even take into consideration and cont to downgrade the TP with the same factors they computed back in Dec 2020. Question is with same factors, how come the TP can be lower and lower by 57%? Is there anything new negative factor that they used to compute lower TP?

Top 7 shareholder is JP Morgan. Isnt JP Morgan a fool for still holding 19.353 mil of Supermax shares if they are so bearish on gloves? Losing 70% since beginning of 2021. So JPMorgan also a big loser in glove.

RM1.39 billion capex for 2021,2022 and 2023. As at 20 August 2021, RM293.8 mil had been spent. Would Supermax cont to generate a total of 1.1 billion cash in 2nd half of 2021, 2022 and 2023 to cover such Capex or are they going to use the current cash for such expansion? Alternatively, would Supermax normalize their expansion, anticipating lower demand in gloves and prolong the expansion to 2025 instead of 2023? All these remain to be seen. Top Glove has started to normalize their expansion.

Seem now Aminvest start to take a neutral stance. Enough of shorting and next start to accumulate at low price for price normalization.
2021-11-09 14:14 | Report Abuse
Extract from Aminvest:
Nitrile gloves ASP should bottom in the next 3-6 months at between USD25-USD30 level. We believe that ASP should bottom soon. Firstly, major glove producers have slowed down their expansion in the past 3 months. Secondly, there is sign that inefficient players have started to make loss. For example, Blue Sail Medical have registered net loss of RMB22.9m in 3Q2021 which we believe is due to the decline in ASP for gloves. Note that Blue Sail Medical is a major China gloves producer with estimated 5% market share of global medical gloves supply. Coupled with the scarcity of power supply in China as winter approach, we expect less competition from China at current low level of ASP at below USD35 per 1,000 pieces of nitrile gloves.
Balance sheet is now much stronger than pre-pandemic time. As shown in Exhibit-2 for the glove players under our coverage, balance sheet are now all in net cash with the range between RM2.05 billion to RM4.71 billion. This is a significant improvement as compared to the pre-pandemic net debt of RM48 million to RM2.22 billion.
Share price has returned to pre-pandemic level for Hartalega and Kossan. We use 31-Jan-2020 as the baseline for pre-pandemic time. At that time, gloves ASP has not started to increase. COVID-19 has not spread to Malaysia and global daily cases were still low at less 2,000 cases. Hartalega share price back then was RM5.92 while Kossan was RM2.45.

same method, release bad news, short it, then repeat. US CBP ban = bad news, ASP peak = bad news, Covid vaccination = bad news, ASP dropping = bad news, Profit peak = bad news, factories closed due to Covid = bad news, Covid pill = bad news, economy opening up = bad news, China competition = bad news, profit dropping = bad news, HK listing = bad news, SBB and losses = bad news, other gloves got banned by US CBP = bad news, Cukai Makmur = bad news.
US CBP ban lifted = no good news, ASP peak and dropping and stabilize but higher than pre covid = no good news, Covid vaccination only effective for 6 months = no good news, Profit higher than pre covid even ASP normalized = no good news, 3.5 billions cash and debt reduction of almost 2 billions = no good news, Factories operating at full capacity = no good news, China power crunch and new players no longer interested in gloves = no good news, Europe countries higher cases and back to restriction = no good news, potential of SBB = no good news, capturing back US markets = no good news, everyone got taxed = no good news, capacity expansion normalized = no good news, investing in new plants and equipment without loan = no good news, automation = no good news.
You can see how they control the media to favor their game.

Top Glove Corp Bhd said it was the company's duty as a responsible corporate citizen to contribute to nation building and the economic growth of the country.
Top Glove said in 2021, the group contributed some RM2 billion in corporate income tax and remained committed to fulfilling its corporate responsibilities, particularly during challenging times.
"The proposed Cukai Makmur is not expected to impact dividend payments which is guided by Top Glove's dividend policy, which we will continue to adhere to," it added.

For gloves, even before ASP reached the peak or before companies released supernormal profits and declared high dividends, it already peaked up in August 2020. The highest supernormal profit only reported in Q4 2020, Q1 2021 and Q2 for some. But the price started to uptrend in April 2020. 8 - 12 months in advance. Now for plantation, are we saying that CPO would continue to peak until June 2022 and beyond as there is still no movement in plantation?

poor countries would not be able to afford expensive oil such as olive oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, etc for daily cooking and food processing. That's y palm oil are still mostly used by countries such as India, Pakistan, SEA countries. China is also using lot of palm oil because they not supporting EU on their expensive oil though China still import those oil from EU as part of their trades and to serve the wealthier citizen. In fact EU also used lot of palm oil for food processing. Not direct sell to their citizen in the retails but in food processing industry.
