Pessimist comments makes one investor to think. But there are comments were not justifiable technically. Just saying blatantly without facts and figures. I don't even mind they saying a shallow comments HRC at 8 bucks is expensive, at least there is magnitude for anyone to think. Many turn to forum to just bash others personally. If we are bearish must have basis also.

Petrol Prices in Malaysia also increasing from July to Sept, it means the refinery crack is increasing too Easy reflection. HRC supply 85% of their products to Malaysia and the rest to overseas.

EPF can invest anywhere, and they have certain percentages of equity and asset classes that they can invest... Anyway for record, EPF have disposed HRC since last year and January 2017 ceased to become substantial shareholder. Cant say whether they holding any shares...But HRC price rose 3 fold from that point already... So,why bother institution buying or selling , thats is trivial...

EPF and fund managers might have some investment strategy to follow, therefore its not their interest. Could be as well, they think its a foreign equity, so investing in HRC and PETRON is not their interest or maybe not yet. It could be many reason. Prefer to buy shares that have less institutional buyers. learn from p.lynch.

Now is supply cruch time if they don't sell the inventories, then raider assumptions can be right. They are preparing to mitigate the upgrades.

There is overshoot in crack spread for a week on August end. Not sure how that will translate, but Inventory is a bet that depends how much they sold it.

Sums by calculation super conservative = 260 mil


With so much of inventories at hand, ~ 1bil, HRC might be selling the products ,since we deal with lots of refinery shutdown in east asia and US. Should contribute additional revenue.
I am thinking EPS of RM 0.80 - 1.00 flat is possible.

Annualised EPS of 2.7 cents - 3 cents, its just matter of time to break rm10.00 and reach rm 15.00.

I am holding HRC and CF , sold Petron and CD, which is still good stock but just want to diversify my exposure, does not want to hold two refineries. Next going to Oil and Gas upstream player.

Good analysis.. This QR report owned by HRC.. ppl were just skeptical because its HRC and not Shell... But with spread is going up and most refinery around the world posting good profit, its a buy for sure..
