First of all let me correct u. It close at 2 sen higher 2day NOT 1 sen. Let me ask u a question. Would u rather it close 10sen higher n drop the next few days OR would u rather it close a little bit higher EVERY DAY? Think of the repercussions of upswing and down swing. It would create emotional fear amongst the weak holders which is NOT GOOD if u r a true investor isn't it? Even a few sen higher everyday would b good for traders as the chances of getting burnt is much lower, dun u think so?
Anyway TRUE POTENTIAL value of the stock will b realised eventually BUT the faster path WOULD B "SIKIT SIKIT LAMA LAMA JADI BUKIT". Food 4 thoughts huh?
Sometimes a stock would have no choice but to GAP UP but lets leave that topic 4 some other time.

1) Yes. If your holding is 10k b4 22nd Aug the cap rep u will get is rm3200.
2) ONLY U can decide what u think is BEST. V can speculate on what the MAESTRO will do..... whether THE STOCK PRICE will go up b4 or after XD. BUT I would like to say only one thing. iF A STOCK HAS A GREAT VALUE N WORTH INVESTING THEN V SHOULD JUST NEGLECT ALL THE NOISES IN THE MARKET PLACE N LET IT REACH ITS EQUILIBRIUM VALUE ACCORDING TO WHAT ITS WORTH IS!!! To me all the TA and FA indicators r SOLID and r all pointing towards an UPSIDE BUT each of us have their own take on the matter so u have to do ur own homework n decide. If u r investing I dun see a problem UNLESS a war erupts between NK n US, in which case the whole global markets WILL ALSO B AFFECTED. Hope that helps!!

First ask yourself whether u r buying as an investment or for speculative purposes. As far as I m concerned if for investment there's still plenty of room for the counter to go UP!! Time when it will make its move WHO KNOWS BUT MY TAKE IS THAT it will b pretty soon. BUT if still too many traders/speculators then the upward move will b delayed. So that's my take. The decision is ENTIRELY YOURS!!

Of course this will b benefcial to Alcom as this would mean a higher revenue as well as profit if all things remain equal. This is true for its stockfin market but it may have a reverse impact on its construction products. As the cost gets higher people may start looking for other alternatives which may b cheaper example coated steel.
Anyway the bigger chunk of its business comes from the export of coated fins hence a better revenue n profit shd b expected from this source. As for the construction part of the business we'll just have to leave that for the management to deal with it. If u have look through the profiles of the management personnels of the company u needn't have to worry abt how they are going to handle this. They r more than qualified to handle this small problem!
What I am most UPBEAT abt the company is HOW THEY R REWARDING the shareholders with the special divs n cap repayments this year and how they r going to utilise bank borrowings for their growth n expansion programs. This will inevitably benefits the shareholders if the management continues with the policy of rewarding shareholders with good div payouts n bonuses etc when the company is doing well.
What's the point if a company makes plenty of profit BUt NEGLECT to look after the shareholders interest!!
What this boils down to is as shareholders we should b looking for management personnels with INTEGRITY and PROFESSIONALS in their line of work and then EVERYTHING ELSE will just follow its natural course.

kennyku: There is a BIG BIG DIFFERENCE between Alcom cap repayment and Rev div of 44 sen. Rev is SELLING THEIR COMPANY N then return 44 sen to u. Once sold the company is a SHELL company ( empty...... nothing!!!!). Means u r paying abt 5+ sen for an EMPTY company. They say they may keep the listing status. I DUN KNOW. If ITS ME I would CUT LOSS ASAP. That's my 2 sen worth. Hope that helps.
