Yinson management, I would advise you strongly to take legal action for defamation. This is the only way to address fraudsters. The bloggers details are available, and should be taken to the cleaners. The allegations are serious when you make comparison to Serba you implying there is fraudulent activity!

Serious allegations without evidence is a very serious matter that should be addressed in court. I think the accuser has got a Covid the Indian version

Nobody is bidding, for Petronas, because Yinson has already established in this field and no one else can make it work as their bid won’t be competitive. Not surprising. Yinson will be subject to proper due diligence ...that is also a proof they are not like Serba as claimed by Calvin.

Calvin out or order my friend...when you make comparison between Serba and Yinson. Be rationale based on facts.

Very poor comparison between serba and Yinson.....Yinson sure have better overall governance and directors are not buying and selling shares on daily basis not to to mention frequent pp and rising debtors corresponding decrease in working capital. You have to ask why it has taken such a long time for KPMG and SC to investigate irregularities. Sufficient alarm bells. I reckon you may find other companies with similar practices....I hope not!

Yinson undervalued and not loved. Unlike Serba Yinson is not up to mischief, from waht I can see. There has been constant directors buying and seeking companies shares, PP, MOU’s hyping, which we now know what has been the problem. In contrast Yinson has good governance ...about time the shares price reflects its performance!

Think about it ....can KPMG be wrong. This debtor / receivables issue is not rocket science. The revenue has been inflated by setting up a trade debtor, by all accounts from overseas contracts. What has happened I suspect is rising outstanding debtors, rising borrowings without corresponding increase in cash over many reporting periods. If you do a simple verification on the relationship between these balances you will conclude that they need further investigation and if these debtor balances cannot be certified as being true and correct than there is problem...which is not an accounting error but a deliberate action to overstate companies financial statement...very serious. If this is established to be the case than I am afraid the company will collapse and may not be a going concern when all liabilities are taken into account. The directors concerned will end up behind bars in most jurisdictions.
I can’t see how a seasoned accounting firm can make such an error of judgement.

This is shocking ....Ali baba and 40 thieves ...kinda of story. We have to wait until we pass judgment ...but I must say it is not looking too good, setting up erroneous debtors or receivables is very old and but archaic way to inflate sales income. For now I am hoping we are all wrong ..because this sort of behaviour comes from the top and surely same practices may be prevalent in other associated companies. I for one always questioned the director share dealings for their timing quite often before announcements and disposing soon after before placement of shares. This sort of behaviour is very poor governance.

Private placement ....again haha the usual destruction of minority interest continues unabated. What gets me with these companies is amount of share dealing they under take on their account! They can’t be too focussed on developing the business and contributing shareholder value...any growth is destroyed and redistributed to the chosen few connected folks! It is a scam for sure. Another is use of MOU with no value ...keep hitting the market ..all a game,

Poor governance for sure ....I had a feeling something would happen like this to Serba...something was not quite right ...Auditors very often are blamed for not picking up irregularities. They have exercise reasonable care when auditing businesses ..and usually you can feel there is wrong doing as the culture at the top is usually the reason. I for one don’t believe in PP particularly when you ramp up the price than sell before and then announce PP..with large discount and no transparency as to who receives the allocation not available to shareholders! Very very unethical practice particularly if it used multiple times ....I am surprised SC has not investigated this?

Highly unusual...they need to make a very clear announcement of the issue(s) raised and remedial actions if any....there is huge opportunity to ensure there is no panic ...communication needs to be be well thought out. Many a company has been destroyed for poor communication with issues of lesser gravity. What is poor is that the Mgt knew it was coming ...these are not actions taken over Night. I think the mgt is poor from what I can based on decisions they have taken previously ...placements , MOU, director disposing large shareholding in open market and so on! This is a company not strong on governance culture

TUFGamer I suppose that changes his character! BTW auditors have failed many times to properly and accurately evaluate financial statements, too often there is conflict of interest. I personally had doubts about the way placements were undertaken and subsequent share price movements. Also the timing of announcements were questionable, with insiders having information and dealing.
2021-05-25 22:51 | Report Abuse
Gcke totally agree with your comment on 21 May. These share placements actually are questionable and don’t have transparency as to who gets what! If company has to raise funds the better option is rights issue...as it treats existing shareholders more fairly and not just a select band ...who make immediate profit on heavily discounted shares. There is lot happening in this counter which is questionable, for example open market disposal of significant shareholding by Onion which is again very questionable by a director on the board. Very poor governance.
2021-05-25 22:26 | Report Abuse
Serious issue....external auditors have discovered significant irregularities hence independent review. I would also review share dealings when placement was made ..at discounted price.
