Bonus issue means divided is maintained in the company helping with cash flow where as shareholders get extra shares but value remains same...there is no dilution as all shareholders get the same level,of bonus scoring to numbers if share held!

For investors just a timely reminder a bonus issue is not like a dividend payment ...value of share before and after remains same! Only difference you have more shares but value does not change, price is reduced by the factor of news shares.

Many international banks have had abd time ..in 2009 crisis one Royal Bank of Scotland single handledly destroyed uk economy by dishing out huge business loans to connect people sot had to be written off....the loans written were nit few billion but 30 + billions GBp...loans were given with out collateral,over cocktail ,parties ... CIMB suffered due to poor due diligence over 2 sigficnant losses to Singaporean oil gas companies ..which were run fraudulently under remit if MAS supposedly very capable! HSBC and Deutsche were other banks who suffered more than CIMB these two loans alone account for the profit impact for the year...I am sure CIMB will improve and certainly 2021 will be a successful year for company and shareholders compared to other banks. Investors need to keep,faith.

Interesting comments loaded against CIMB are pretty much political.....we know the people’s background who have a go...yes they have underperformed but so do many other companies ..not only in Malaysia but world wide. People in Malaysia are divided and have their reasons. I for one applaud CiIMB who have helped 150000 individuals and SME with loans and liquidity to ge tthriufh difficult times ...worth RM 19.4 b...which other company business is doing that! At times likes this it is nit just about profits...looks at soem glove companies who have been caught out mistreating their workers ..paying them pittance ..what criticism did they get! So reflect and be reasonable!

All good for CIMB to rally...if nit a good time to top up ..for a resounding recovery.

People keep comparing with Singapore ...Singapore is a tiny state ...Selangors population alone is larger than Sings..same with NZ! There are countries in the world where one city alone has 10 times the population of Singapore!

I hope sanity prevails ...interstate must be allowed with strict SOPS..that’s the answer meanwhile accelerating the vaccination programme...Govt needs to be v careful as to not to destroy the economy for a long time. It is sad that those investing money don’t under stand or don’t want to understand what the management has been saying about 2020 results. A conservative approach has been taken by CIMB with bad debt provisions, particularly the management overlay...these are are not specific bad debts but additional set aside ..if all goes well no further suprises from corporate sector than these will be written back and will no doubt improve the results SO PLEASE BE POSTIVE CIMB is a good recovery play linked to the economy.

Company has scatter gun approach lots supposed new in Income streams which are not a reality ...for example hotel,quarantine ...this is already available, private vaccination will not be allowed...testing also suspect. The real inner is probably GST when it happens and if m get the contract.

Very strange reaction by some...expecting miracles when the news is well known CIMB can only produce better result going forward in 2021..mark my word.

I am not worried about dividends providing we see share price catching up with fair value...the share price movement unfortunately may not match .....the results and fair valuation...let’s see how many dump the shares after small profit!

Excellent results ....never in doubt, so now let’s see if trading performance translates into share price rise! Based on my past views I have my doubts ....I hope I am wrong ...Mr June 1920!

Poor due diligence over dodgy loans particularly Singapore even the much touted MAS did not pick up fraudulent activities of tthen2 companies, This happens In U.K. Royal,Bank of Scot land virtually destroyed U.K. economy single handled again very dodgy loans...given over cocktail parties! Investors need to look forward....new CEO...is being very proactive by providing additional provisions which will not be required so better results ahead for sure ...they will beat the competitors...for sure. Market is about looking ahead nit backward.,

Taking into account circumstances with substantial and debt arising from Singapore O& G fraud related wrote off...and the fact that the management have additional overlays for bad debts...situation will improve...by the way if you take 2 bad debts from Singapore crooks..the results would be almost 1b + better! I am for adding further ..hopefully epf and other institutions will invest...get rid of small day traders.

Goodish results ...dividend declared which is good sign...reduced profitability to much higher provisions...all in all good results ..look forward to better 2021..

Where are the other analysts? Normally do opposite wha they say...so expecting some negativity...will be sign to top up for medium term.

Results after after CIMB...worth watching as clever Money rotates amongst banks expecting a rally toward 6 plus mark

Need patience ...also there will be support from institutions when timing is right ..of all the shares CIMB is a good play ...as the upside will be very strong when there is normality to their balance sheet returns...besides CIMB performance is vital for Malaysia PLC!

Please learn from other markets how PP is handled! Some occasions PP price is slightly higher than prevailing price and not to mention full transparency as to who has taken up! ! PP price 1.51 ..Rm .500m raised big number of shares given at discount...these will be unwound over time as they are in money still.

PP investors need clearing out...they have already profited...some will realise the profits. In addition EPF continues to sell....this will go on for some time unless there is an acceleration of dumping to clear the decks.

DeepValueInvestor...you are correct there is likely to be unleashing of pent up demand once vaccination begins to take hold....I can see very strong demand not only in US but world wide as people react to be constrained for 1 year plus. Timing wise now is the right time to take position for upward momentum that will be unleashed.

Dividend wise big increase from previous year ..that suggests Bank is more confident about 2021 and it has strong cash flow and solvency capital requirements. This show flow into CIMB group results....

Niaga results I guess not too bad...still profitable...net profit down around 40% from previous year..increase in bad debt provisions....I think where other industries are making losses...this result is not too bad...and hopefully impairments set aside are more than sufficient with recovery in 2021...
