Let’s be honest 2 huge doggy loans made to Singaporean companies are the reason for CIMBs bad performance. Both companies have been proven to be fraudulent and the auditors role is questionable! That said i suspect CIMB due diligence was not adequate...not surprising given that the regulators and other banks also have been mislead. The total cost is around 1.5 B plus tomCIMB shareholder. So much for fraudulent free Singaporean companies!

Which ever way you look at it the results are good on improving trend with looses narrowing significantly between 2 and 3rd qtr. 2021 will see return to profitability. Markets and investors look ahead and not backwards. Any fall is an investment opportunity

Very interesting comments by some! Why were people expecting a profit? The results are good showing very good recovery, net loss to shareholders is down to 138 m compared to 786m first half. The trend has changed from 2nd half....share price was 410 before announcing of half results. Compare this AA whose losses have increased each qtr! I expect price to remain same or go higher based future trend.

Corporate governance is a huge issue .....directors are insiders and don’t follow acceptable market behaviour....dealing in closed periods, private placements, unloading huge number of shares in open market...is the reason why these counters suffer....plain luck if u make money

Good set of results given the circumstances and oil price. The only issue is the behaviour of owners who hold significant shares....they have behaved very irresponsibly by disposing large number of shares in open market. This unfortunately has tarnished the company...without this the shares are worth 2.50. Nobody can guarantee this sort of behaviour again....poor CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Good to see CIMB helping the community to get through the challenges resulting from CV. The bank needs to be supported in return for showing flexibility and good sense. Profits will follow as customer loyalty will increase! God corporate behaviour.

To counter act ...bullish on oil price in 2021...reports suggest Brent could top 65 already rallied to 45.3 and could be near 50 mark before end of year. Charts V actual market?.

Vaccine will be available very shortly....looking ahead there is light at the end of the tunnel. Vaccine should be fast and given to the high risk category ..which means tops 2-3m in Malaysia. All achievable of gov manages it proactively.

Sure I understand, playing with functioning of the stock market is very wrong. Placement is fine if it is for benefit of shareholders ...but not allowing the price to move up or down is against the principles of market conduct....especially when it done by interested parties who halogen to be management...!

Results on Monday, should be better than last qtr and improving trend...for sure. Will rally in the afternoon ....
