If only you hold bond to maturity then only you will be redeemed back with the full face value.
What happen to SV bank is because the bank place customer deposits into long term US bond that pay less than 1% yield. When Federal Reserve interest hike to 4.5-4.75% too fast the short term US bond pay higher yield rate causing the long term US bond officially trade below the face value and SV bank holding billions in unrealised US long term bond loss in the book greater then shareholder capital.
When customers withdraw money the SV bank force to liquidate this long term Bond at billion in realised loss to meet withdrawal demand. The rest is history.

Part of AAX PN17 regularisation plan is debts restructure, capital reduction and 10 to 1 share consoludation follow by a renounceable rights issue of new shares to raise gross proceeds of up to RM300 million from its existing shareholders, and an issuance and allotment of new AAX shares to raise another RM200 million.
Stony did not carried out the RM 500 million capital cash call and now intent to inject CapitalA aviation with its billions in net liabilities into AAX for maybe billions of AAX share to CapitalA which will then be distributed to all the CapitalA shareholders.
So AAX will then need another round debts restructure, capital reduction, share consolidation and capical cash call again to get out of PN17.

Do anyone know that CapitalA had applied and Bursa has approved a six months extension to CapitalA to fill a finalised PN17regularisation plan until July 2023?
So this time round Stony promised the detail of its PN17 regularisation plan by mid-April 2023, will he keep his promise?

All three groups of creditors of Malaysian long-haul low-cost airline AirAsia X (AAX) have agreed to a restructuring scheme that proposes to pay just 0.5%
The first class of AAX creditors includes airports, financial institutions and maintenance providers.
The second class includes engine suppliers, lessors, trade creditors, travel agents and passengers.
The final group is planemaker Airbus
The 0.5% of debt owed to each creditor will be paid from operating cash flow one year after the debt restructuring goes into effect, the airline said in the document.
AAX also proposed that if it were to garner more than 300 million ringgit in annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, lease rentals and restructuring costs during its 2023-2026 financial years, all creditors except Airbus would be entitled to 20% of those earnings.

Rishi Sunak has insisted the UK will be able to lure foreign companies despite a planned rise in corporation tax, suggesting he will face down critical Conservative MPs ahead of this week’s budget.
Despite some Tory MPs’ hostility at the planned rise to corporation tax from 19% to 25%, Sunak stressed Britain would still have the lowest level of corporation tax in the G7, and added it would remain “a fantastic place to invest to grow a business”.

For sure bankers and lessors would not pull the plug because CapitalA is now their golden goose or slave workers working 24/7/365 days to pay them back about RM 10 billion owed with interest.
So CapitalA shareholders will be leaved with nothing for the next 10 years or maybe 20 years.

That a very brilliant idea i3lurker:
AAX will takeover CapitalA aviation business and its net liabilities of RM 9.5 billion at RM10 Billion by issuing RM 10 billion AAX share to CapitalA.
AAX Goodwill will show RM10 Billion as Goodwill. Hence both AAX and CapitalA net liabilities will now became net assets. PN17 problems solved, a win win for both AAX and CapitalA.

CapitalA will then distribute the AAX share to CapitalA shareholders.
AAX will then need another capital reduction, share consolidation and debts restructure to get out of PN17.

The proposed disposal of M&A which is essentially a backdoor listing of M&A via SYF will enable M&A to raise its corporate profile, its future equity and debt funding requirements through the financial and capital market independently from Insas Group, expand its customer base, attract new employees from the financial services industry, and to motivate and retain existing key management staff of M&A. Post completion, we envisage improvement in the financial performance of the combined SYF/M&A group.
Currently INSAS need to support working capital for M&A broking business and keep sufficient cash reserves for M&A provision of share margin financing facilities, corporate finance and structured financing corporate advisory services such as initial public offering, acquisitions and disposals, take-overs, capital fund raising exercise, transfer of listing, general corporate finance advisory as well as placement and underwriting services.
Post backdoor listing of M&A via SYF will enable M&A to raise its corporate profile, its future equity and debt funding requirements through the financial and capital market independently from Insas Group. Hence post RTO Insas should have more than enough free cash to reward shareholders with better dividends.

Every coin has two sides. Every mountain has a valley. For every strength there is a weakness. Every up has a down. For every in there is an out. For every height there is a depth. Life itself is a mosaic of light and dark. And every human is a study in opposites, a kaleidoscope of good and bad, positive and negative, hopes and losses, dreams and disappointments, successes and failures, courage and fear, confidence and insecurity, power and vulnerability. We do not live in a homogeneous world. We live in a world of brilliant contrasts, vivid diversity, striking polarity, and eloquent disparity...a stunning array of sometimes gorgeous, sometimes glaring, always fascinating differences.

Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A said: “As they say, size matters! When it comes to airlines, bigger is always better so we can leverage economies of scale and pass on to our guests in the form of lower fares and delivering more value and choice. AirAsia has been a major contributor to Malaysia and Asean’s GDP. AirAsia alone contributes to more than 2% of Malaysia’s GDP. You may think that 2% is a small number but for a big country like Malaysia with GDP worth more than RM1.5 trillion, that 2% is a sizable contribution.
A 2% of RM 1.5 trillion is RM 30 billion so what is Tony talking about "AirAsia alone contributes to more than 2% of Malaysia’s GDP"?
Is that a fact or someone trying to boast about his Pxxxx size?
