I agree with DK. Jaks is a rare opportunity now as it's price is starting to move with the successful completion of its PP unit 1 .The RI is oversubscribed which indicates market confidence on Jaks now . Moreover , a major portion of Jaks' PP income will come from guaranteed capacity payment over 25 years as i understand from your research reports . In this aspect, Jaks has advantage over MFCB which depends heavily on sales of electricity generated (Correct me if i am wrong , DK ).

In attempting to forecast TP for Jaks , PBB has opted to use RNAV method .
Their computation is not wrong in so far as arriving at RNAV for 2020 is concerned , taking into account only 1 year estimated net earnings attributable to Jaks ( no multiplier ) . They started with NAV at 31.12.2019.
But the analyst's next objective is to forecast TP , right ?
And you have given a brilliant explanation of TP in your earlier posting which i fully agree .
And the analyst has given only 1 x RNAV ( after 35% discount ) as the TP for Jaks !
Don't you think it is very unreasonable and maybe ridiculous knowing that Jaks' power plant is very near COD & the risk of failure is near 0 ?
By the way , what is the true objective of forecasting TP ?

Uncle KYY was over ambitious & greedy ( if we may use the word ) that time .
He attempted to take control of the company by buying heavily into Jaks using excessive share margin . He even attempted to seek a seat on the Board . For good or for bad of the company , that was a different subject for discussion . That attempt caused a scare & uneasiness to CEO . That scare was warranted or unwarranted, is a different subject for debate . KYY was eventually outmaneuvered by the CEO. Because of his margin call, the share price crashed !
Otherwise , Jaks share price would have shot through the roof !
And we wouldn't have the opp. to invest into Jaks at current price or below that .
That time , his investment in Jaks was based on common business sense.
DK66's relative valuation ( comparison method ) is based on ACTUAL results of peer plant Vinh Tan 1 .
The KYY scenario & effect is unlikely to repeat this time around .

Our view :
The derivation of IRR is in itself subject to many interpretations and uncertain by many authors .
So, some " sifus " may just use the % figure plucked from somewhere to twist to their own preference & understanding .
We still think the relative valuation is by far the most sensible & reliable .

My thoughts on DK's peer comparison method of earnings forecast for Jaks .
Sensible, fair & reliable as both entities exhibit closest similarities in all aspects .
Simple, straight-forward , reliable & convincing .
Data on Vinh Tan 1 PP can't lie .
Laypersons , non-experts can easily comprehend .
Probably, the investors concern is on declaration of dividend and its repatriation.
On this issue , my personal view is that both JV partners will certainly not wish to see the excess cash remain idle in Vietnam . This is evident in the case of Mong Duong II.
Verdict : I am confident & I dumb dumb hold .
Current depressed price of around 1.00 is cheap & presents an opportunity .

Less hypothetical assumption, no forecast of cash, the best is do not need to ask Andy Ang to verify the truth. He can't do it and he won't do it. The previous experience had told us, we are actually nobody in his eyes, he didn't even bother to meet us, what else can we expect from him. It is better to rely our own effort.
