Market is so weak even after 3 days closing....Crude Oil is good, MYR is good, China is good and yet Bursa is weak. No more correlation.

Ok market closed. What an April month. Such a volatile month. Hope for the best in May when most companies release Q1 results. And with the 3 days break, ppl will be more rationale and stabilize. Have good break and have a great long weekend!

kai899, i took into account of DJI and Nikkei performance as well. Those big funds have no where to park their money if every where also drop. The normal trend is for foreign fund to exit to go into other market. However this isnt happening. I wonder where they park their fund now? Under their own pillows?

I have a diversified portfolios and the last 4 days, the pictures just didnt make sense anymore. Crude oil is rising and MYR is rising and BNM governor worry has been resolved and there s no Fed Rate hike, yet Bursa dropped like crazy. All this while peg to Dow Jones and then reacted to China market and now pula BOJ. No one care about BOJ all this while and now suddenly ppl care that BOJ did not ease their monetary policy. For goodness sake, Japan has been in deflation and recession for so many quarters. Now suddenly ppl just realized it?

And what cause the oil to rise when there is still glut in the market and IRAN and Saudi keeps pumping more. It really make no sense now. Purely manipulation. And MYR shouldnt rise if Bursa is dropping. It should follow the market trend.

What I know is for the last 4 days, the market has wiped off 15% of my share values all due to don't know what big/small pic.

just to be neutral, i remembered Kai said if no break 2.83 and can maintain for few days, it's uptrend. And he also emphasized that he only predict short term and not long term. He did mention that it would break 3.50++ if excellent Q3 results but what is defined as excellent, there's no mention on that. I think no one can be 100% correct all the times as the market is influenced by so many factors in the world.

Whether small picture or big picture, we all are parts of the picture. Some prefer TA, some FA, some gut feelings, some just follow tips and some just dont know and just/buy as they like.

I have sold most of my holding once ex date for dividend. Now am waiting for the correction as there are just too many uncertainties in April and May due to BNM governor replacement, Fed Meeting, OPEC meeting (which has failed), and also the usual saying, Sell in May and go for Holiday. Come back in October.

today whole market is down. Nothing to do with what industries or which counters. All due to 1MDB default, replacement of BNM Governor and also Fed meeting.

I have received the DRS and reflected in my portfolio now.

I think the call for RM6000 per ton is way too high price. To break RM3000 per ton is also a challenge for now.

The defensive price should be at 4.60 as the DRS offer price was derived from that price. Should it goes below 4.60, DRS wouldn't be attractive anymore and may affect the subscription rate to the DRS.

Agreed that odd lots are troublesome and cause more brokerage fees to dispose. Besides, it usually dispose below market price.
