"Look at the assets , this counter is not a kosong company" - how so dear minah?

Net Assets Per Share (NAPS) stands at 0.1195 or 11.95 sen per share (book value per share).

What assets do you speak of? Please do clarify. I would love to know.

hey yk, thanks for the reply. i understand where you're coming from.

its entirely up to each person to determine what is rubbish or otherwise. after a loss, blame is quickly assigned to others for being deceived. but who pushed the buy button? do you blame gillette for making you buy their razor blades after watching their commercial? or Milo for selling you the most sugary diabetes-inducing cocoa drink?

it is mainly their *greed* that blinds them. folks love good news (hype). they think the market is a source of instant riches much like magee mee is a source of instant noodles. can you blame them with stories of Warren B, Geroge Soros et al being streamed 24/7 on Bloomberg & CNBC?

but to understand the market, you have to take the good with the bad to eventually become good at *discerning* the good advice from the bad. and making those mistakes, correcting them is a rite of passage, and the hallmark of any good investor.

the saying that comes to mind - "don't hate the playa, hate the game"

ps there are plenty of other people constantly lying/deceiving - car dealers, politicians, salesmen, real estate agents, renovation guys.... thats is just life....

2) Google frequently about your stocks. learn what others are saying. esp. financial bloggers.

Parkson sole reason to exist is to transfer wealth to their landlords. Consider buying a REIT, since most of Parkson's profits end up there.

why don't you give the same lecture to Bursa and the Banks, about their 'china-share' pushing and 'anal'-ysts?

what do you mean by 'responsibility'? are you expecting bonecythe to come over to your house for tea to debate the pros/cons of every post, then look over you shoulder and guide you through using your N2N or Excelforce platform?

info is info. use the grey matter between your ears to ponder that.

Malaysia May exports jump 16.3% year over year
By Jason Ng
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia--Exports from Malaysia expanded 16.3% year over year in May, official data showed Friday.

This was thanks to an increase in shipments of electronics, crude oil and palm oil to Southeast Asia, Japan, E.U. countries and the U.S.

A median forecast of a poll of 11 economists by The Wall Street Journal saw a 13.0% rise. Exports grew 18.9% in April.

Exports totaled 64.91 billion ringgit ($20.35 billion) in May compared with 65.79 billion ringgit, the Ministry of International Trade and Industries said in a statement.

Shipments to Southeast Asia, Japan and the E.U. rose 14.7%, 11.4% and 23.4%, respectively. Exports to the U.S. increased 13.8%.

Electrical and electronic products, which make up about one-third of total exports, rose 12.4% to 21.21 billion ringgit while exports of crude petroleum rose 74% to 2.92 billion ringgit. Palm-oil exports increased 20% to 4.05 billion ringgit in May.

The trade surplus narrowed to 5.72 billion ringgit from 8.74 billion ringgit in April, the ministry added.

Singapore anti-gambling advert falls flat after Germany win

An anti-gambling advert which featured a man putting his son's life savings on Germany winning the World Cup was widely panned by Singaporeans online Wednesday after it was shown during Brazil's crushing defeat.

The advert by Singapore's National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) featured a group of boys excitedly discussing who will triumph in the ongoing World Cup.

At the end, one of them said while frowning: "I hope Germany wins. My dad bet all my savings on them." The screen then faded out to a message cautioning about the social fallout of gambling.

But for many Singaporeans the cautionary message fell on deaf ears as Germany romped home to a record breaking 7-1 victory over Brazil -- the worst semi-final defeat in World Cup history.

The advert first aired at half time, when Germany were already 5-0 ahead, prompting much mirth and ridicule online, including from two top government officials.

"Bad timing," Tan Chuan-Jin, Singapore's manpower minister, wrote on his Facebook page. "Looks like the boy's father who bet all his savings on Germany will be laughing all the way to the bank!"

"At least the boy in the advertisement can get his savings back," added Teo Ser Luck, a junior minister in the trade ministry.

A meme of the commercial by local blogger Lee Kin Mun with the caption "Always trust your father. #GER 7 : #BRA 1" went viral on Twitter Wednesday morning.

the answer - mention any UMNO politician or their children joining a new company (of course, ensure you buy as many shares the day before). and use the FAMOUS line "according to sources" to PROVE you are a real journalist, worthy of the Star or Edge newspapers!
