There is a group called ASPI in Australia funded by Raytheon, Thales, Saab, Northruup, Lockhead Martin and Thales (major weapons manufacturers).

They want to SELL more (BILLION and BILLIONS) of USD worth of USELESS weapons to Australia and want the STU.PID and MOR.ONIC Aussie taxpayer to foot the bill.

So they manufacture this FAKE threat.

i still feel its going to be difficult to replicate the profitability, unless the US Govt offers to buy the PPE they produced at a higher price (due to national security concerns).

i) US staff will not work the hours or conditions of bangladeshi, indonesia, phillipino or nepali workers (unless forced US prison labour is used - a possibility).
ii) Costs is demoninated in USD, not RM,
iii) Energy (gas prices) in the US not as favourable as Malaysia (again in USD).
iV) Rubber/Latex is not produced in the USA nad has to be imported
v) litigation

PPE is still manufactured by most competitors outside the USA, and these companies have not been banned from selling in the USA. Hartalega, Kossan etc can still sell there. None of them, Top Glove included have indicated any desire to move to the USA, no matter what "tax incentives" is promised :)

lastly, PPE (gloves) is not the same as manufacturing semi-conductors (TSMC). They can charge whatever they want as only 2 or 3 companies can fabricate 7nm chips.

Based on the above statement , the Supermx management is still scouting around to find the best TAX CREDIT INCENTIVES the state can offer making final decision to build the US 550 million plant. THe tax incentive of US 482 million is lucrative to offset the one time cost of investment of US 550 million.

Dont worry too much on supermx making investment in US .THe world two biggest wafer fab foundry TSMC and Samsung will be building plants in US too . Their shares are very much sought after after annoucing their plans to invest in US where their biggest customers are situated .

I'd like to highlight something for all Supermax shareholders from the press release (most recent Q report):

The vulnerability of disruption of PPE supply chains and over dependence on imports is the primary concern of governments around the world. To address this major concern in countries where Supermax operates, we are reinvesting the earnings derived from our distribution centres into the respective countries where Supermax operates. The capital expenditure earmarked for the US is US$300 million for phase #1 and US$250 million for phase #2 making total of US$550 million. Currently, the company is working with various government agencies in the US..."

Basically, Supermax has caved in to US political pressure, something Top Glove has refused to do. Almost RM2 BILLION will be spent, not in Malaysia, but in the USA.

As a shareholder, this mean all profits will be reinvested for the benefit of US politicians and interests. There will be little to no spare cash for buybacks or dividends.

The American venture will not yeild as healthy margins, and could be loss-making, if the market saturates in the future.

Why would I own Supermax shares? Better to look at Careplus Rubberex or Comfort...

I give up defending KNM because everyone dont care, everyone is not helping. I am just wasting my time here. These short-sellers does not know, eventually they will lose their money.

From now, I will just forward any message that tarnish KNM with fake news to KNM legal department from now. Let these people deal with the law from now.
