PETALING JAYA: A special Parliament sitting is being planned to be held before Aug 1, say Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun and Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim.

The Dewan Rakyat Speaker and Dewan Negara president, in a joint statement, said they had met with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Tuesday (June 29), who had given his view that a Parliament sitting should be held before Aug 1.

"We, as well as our deputies, will uphold the command of Yang di-Pertuan Agong and fully commit to ensure that Parliament will convene as ordered by His Majesty.

"The order has been conveyed to Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and we have suggested that a special sitting of Parliament be held before Aug 1, in accordance with the provisions of existing laws," they said.

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been admitted to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday (June 30) morning.

The Prime Minister's Office, in a statement Wednesday, said Muhyiddin was admitted after suffering from diarrhoea since Tuesday (June 29).

"He was admitted to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday for treatment and observation," the statement read.

Tidak semua syarikat yang tersenarai di Bursa Malaysia adalah syarikat yang menguntungkan walaupun pada awal penyenaraian syarikat-syarikat ini di Bursa Malaysia, syarikat-syarikat ini kelihatan mampu memberikan pulangan yang lumayan kepada para pelabur.

Syarikat-syarikat yang berstatus PN17 dan GN3 merupakan syarikat yang bermasalah. Bermasalah dari sudut kewangannya, laporan kewangan yang tidak tepat, pihak pengurusan yang bermasalah, dan indikator yang paling penting adalah syarikat tersebut mengalami kerugian yang teruk sepanjang sukuan dan tahunan.

PN17 adalah singkatan kepada Practice Note 17/2005 yang merujuk kepada syarikat yang sedang mengalami masalah kewangan atau financial distress dan syarikat tersebut tidak memenuhi syarat minimum dari segi sudut modal atau equity yang telah ditetapkan oleh Bursa Malaysia. Syarikat yang telah diumumkan berstatus PN17 ini perlu mengemukakan pelan perancangan penstrukturan semula syarikat kepada Bursa Malaysia. Pelan ini bertujuan untuk membetulkan semula operasi syarikat dan mengembalikan syarikat pada kedudukan asal syarikat tersebut. GN3 pula adalah singkatan kepada Guidance Note 3. Definisinya lebih kurang sama dengan PN17. Yang berbeza adalah syarikat GN3 ini adalah syarikat dari ACE Market manakala PN17 daripada Main Market.
PN17 = Main Market Listing Requirements
GN3 = Ace Market Listing Requirements
Bahasa mudahnya, syarikat PN17 adalah syarikat yang tidak memenuhi kriteria dan syarat-syarat penyenaraian ke Main Market manakala GN3 adalah syarikat yang tidak memenuhi kriteria dan syarat-syarat penyenaraian ke ACE Market.
