For those who sold at 40 sen (before ex-date), they must be laughing. Imagine someone has 20,000 units he would have received RM.8000. Witht he price now at 26.5 sen, the sales proceeds would translate into RM5,300. To have RM8,000 can the 10,000 units (1 free warrant for 2 shares) bring in RM2,700 (which is not possible for the warrant price to come out at 27 sen).

By the way KW Tan, why is the reference price for Dsonic 3.64 as the closing price is only 3.30 ?

kcchongnz, now that you have added Dsonic as the 11th counter, are you going to revise your percentage allocation as earlier 100% has been fully used up for the first 10 picks.

For the direct challenge between the two of you, it will be considered as disposed once it touches the 30% ROI. However under the rules in KW's challenge, it will be based on the day's closing price and will remain on hold till the contest ends on 31st December. I think it's quite clear.

Hafiz and Saturn, with the direct challenge between the both of you starting tomorrow, it is imperative that you agree on one of the terms and conditions to avoid any dispute that may arise. The condition is :-
1) for the 30% ROI, do you want to treat it as being achieved as long as it touches the target during the trading day (which is my recommendation) or based on the closing price for the day (OTB's recommendation). As this condition is not in the rules set by KW Tan, it's best that both of you come to an agreement. And last but not least, hopefully no more exchange of harsh words once the contest begins. May the best man win !

musang-foxking, KW Tan mentioned that the contest is opened to all i3 members, Thus there is no reason for you not to be included.

Stockwatch, glad to know that all this while you are having the same frequency as I. The disadvantage not only applies to Hafiz and Saturn but to all those who have almost used up the 100 K. Simple logic - can anyone be sure that the purchases made for those shares on 30th August will be the lowest until 31st December. No way, right ! So when dips happen along the way, the one who has unused funds can go in at a lower price. That's the reason I strongly advocate that all should start on a equal footing. Just my opinion as others may not agree.

Of the 19 participants so far, 9 have almost used up the 100K allocation, whilst 8 only partially and 2 without any purchases yet. Those who have yet to or only partially use their funds will have a slight advantage over the others.

Whilst I may have a different opinion on the criteria of the rules being set (which are also very general in nature), KW Tan should be commended for organizing and coordinating the contest as well as periodically monitoring the status over the next four months. Anyway it is just a friendly competition (without any entry fees and prizes) which should not produce major arguments / disputes. All the best to each and every participant. I look forward to the updates especially the direct challenge between Hafiz and Saturn since I am a "party" to it.

With OTB also expressing his interest to take part, there will then be 20 participants (assuming no more submission).

Please note it is the closing price. Daily high is not counted.

Take for example, favco. If it touches 3.74 during the day, it has actually achieved 30% ROI. So Bingo ! But then at the closing it dropped to 3.60 and probably market conditions do not permit it to go back to 3.74 by 31st December, so how. Bear in mind that the 30% ROI is actually achieved. It's REAL.

I leave it to you two to agree since it's a direct challenge between the two of you.

Hafiz and Saturn, I will come in now since both of you have compromised. For the stocks selected, you need to factor in price adjustments should there be any occurrence of bonus issues, rights issues, warrant issues etc. OTB can work out the adjusted price.

OTB. you are mistaken, Saturn is not taking part in the contest. It's a separate one with Hafiz only.

Also, I think the umpire or judge should be a panel of 3 people. Since KW is a participant (with due respect to him) perhaps he may want to co-opt KC Chong and KC Low (of course with their consent) to be the additional two umpires.

OTB, I am ready and willing to assist but it all depends whether KW is agreeable.
