no worries my friend. I am not the one who blame anyone as it's solely my decision. So what even it it drops to 10 sen. Anyway this is company with good fundamentals. Let us look forward to profit from it.

Just went in 10,000 units for a bit of fun. If it drops to, as you say 52 sen then probably will grab some more.

If you ask me, honestly I am not an expert. But based on experience if the high volume is accompanied by a rise in price, it should be good. Probably affected by the overall market sentiment. Perhaps matrixcool is in a position to give better advice.

I prefer single malt whisky - cheers. By the way one research house recommended to enter at between 33 - 35 sen with a target of 42 sen and cut loss at 30 sen.

I have been holding the mother share and both warrants for about 3 months already and cleared some this morning (see my posting in Digistar thread). Apparently matrixcool and trustme932 are having the same opinion and target for this price. Since I saw your comment, I just wanted to get more clarification. Thanks.

In stock trading, there are always gains and losses. I have also incurred losses in so many counters over the years. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but the most important is at the end of the day you are in the plus territory. Like playing Black Jack - you cannot expect the Banker to pay you every time but once the game is over and you made money, it's good enough. And do you notice that most if not all people talk about their gains but not their losses. This is human nature.

Thanks trustme932. If you were to see my postings I am a small and conservative trader, and many times I trade for fun. I held these stocks for more than 3 months already which to me is considered long. Wishing you good health and good luck !

City Trader, for Digistar could you kindly enlighten as to what would be a satisfactory volume as I notice that this morning's volume is more than that of the whole of last week and more than the last four weeks average. In your expert opinion what would you deem as a satisfactory volume. Thanks.

Haha no worries, I can take a bit of sarcasm. Anyway what I don't fancy is that a person kept on pressuring, if not demanding that you provide your basis / method of valuation. If this person does not agree with your computation, he can just do his own. You do not owe him, or anyone else for that matter your way / basis of analysis. After all it is not a recommendation or inducement to buy or sell. Like you say, everyone is entitlement to his individual views and if he does not agree with what others say, just don't bother. There is no need to start an argument or confrontation.

As of now, I haven't made any decision yet. I normally observe the market sentiment in the first 15 to 30 minutes to roughly ascertain whether the day's trading is going to bullish or bearish (based on many years of experience - of course can be wrong at times).

Agree, every individual is entitled to his opinion. As for MP Corp, being a prudent and not so aggressive trader, I probably will not enter but then again if I want to trade for fun, I may just try 10 lots with a profit or loss of 5 sen. I am willing to and can afford a loss of a few hundred ringgit (though it is not a pleasant feeling to lose). Of course the probability is 50% up or down but based on OTB's TA reading on this counter, the chances of going upside in the immediate term is higher. And If it goes down, I will surely not blame anyone.

Haha, thanks. I didn't realize it also. Happy and profitable trading to you on the stocks you just entered this week.

Small issue - no thanks. In the past 1 lot is 1,000 units but a few years back, Bursa changed it to 1 lot = 100 units to allow the general public to invest in the very expensive blue chips. For example, say you want to go into AMWAY which is RM12 now. Previously you must buy a minimum of 1 lot (1,00 units) which requires RM12,000. Now you can buy 1 lot which is 100 units and pay RM1,200.

Stock

2013-09-22 13:31 | Report Abuse

Like I say, there is no right or wrong - just a different approach. OTB's way is more of a speculative, if not a gambling measure. Based on his reading of the chart he's willing to take a punt and be prepared to lose 11 sen (cut loss point) as against a gain of 48 sen (even if it's a 20 sen gain) as the odds are in his favor. This is better going to the casino where all games are slightly at the banker's advantage.

Stock

2013-09-22 11:50 | Report Abuse

Yes if you are using 1 lot = 1,000 units. But a lot of people are using 1 lot = 100 units.

Simply use 50,000 x 0.012 per unit (as in the announcement) = RM 600.

Stock

2013-09-22 11:42 | Report Abuse

Lots can mean 100 units or 1,000 units. Just follow the announcement made by the company 0.012 sen per unit. You can't go wrong with that.

Stock

2013-09-22 11:37 | Report Abuse

For a better understanding use the number of units instead of lots. One unit of share is entitled to a dividend of 0.012 sen. So if you have 1,000 units (assuming you coughed out RM1,000 to buy at a t a price of RM1) you will get RM12. (1,000 x 0.012). In terms of percentage you are getting 1.2%. So far this year the company has paid out RM36 for 1,000 units of stock holding which is equivalent to 3.6% of your investment of RM1,000 - slightly better than the current FD rate of 3% offered by most banks.

kcchongnz, your questions on MPCorp are very pertinent and for a true and conservative investor, he would be very cautious and hesitant to go in with all the uncertainties surrounding it. On the other hand, OTB relies more on TA and he has observed that the price has made a bullish breakout accompanied with high volume. For him, the fundamentals are secondary as probably he is going for a quick entry and exit in riding along the trend. It's just adopting a different approach - there is no right or wrong.

A I am not an expert thus not in a position to give advice but just an my view. Nevertheless Destini is an O&G company and apparently has some new business. So it all depends on how you feel about the company. Perhaps you may like to seek some expert advice form you stock broker or any other finance people. All the best.

Sephiroth, yes I did mention that every stock has its own uniqueness but just to wish to point out to use Instaco as a guide since that was the latest counter to issue free warrants. Look at the scenario, before ex-date Instaco's share was at say 40 sen. So 2 lots is 80 sen. Now it's only 26.6 sen. So lots is 53 sen. 1 warrant is now say 10 sen. Total 53 sen. So if one has purchased 2 lots of Instaco at 40 sen before ex, he is losing 17 sen now !

CFLoong, why are you coming out with this of comments?. Do you have anything against otb? Take note of the following
1)your comments are unwarranted and uncalled for
2) the competition is only 2 - 3 weeks and the ultimate winner is only known at the end of the year
3) so what if OTB loses to RLCH. This is only a friendly contest and in no way reflects the capability of the contestants
4) the transactions are all in paper only. In real life did RLCH actually perform the transactions
5) this contest only last till end of the year. Probably over a longer period, otb's portfolio can outperform that of RLCH. Who knows!
6) At the moment you are far behind otb, thus you are not in a position to run him down.

Thus I would suggest that you refrain from making unnecessary remarks. From a elderly person, Thank you !
