@RosmahMansur, what is your view right now about KESM? Is the stock sustainable to go up more?
2015-10-29 15:58 | Report Abuse
Losing steam? It's okay but I want it at least close above 5.

Good work shinado. A good read for a novice investor like me.
Thanks~

@ckwan11d, paperplane2 TP is RM16
@Sebastian, haha I don't think price drop is because of him as it depends on overall market sentiment. But it is quite funny now that you mentioned it.
2015-10-28 14:33 | Report Abuse
I admire your optimism paperplane. But I think it is quite difficult to go up to RM 16 anytime soon.
Maybe your investing timeline is longer than me than it is possible.haha

Hi Amy, I think there are potential in this counter to achieve up to 7+. But that is me talking to myself. Maybe RosmahMansur can help you with the analysis and reasoning.
My 2cents newbie opinion

The management should issue bonus to help with liquidity.

Wow Leno! I commend you for speaking the truth. Not many people speaks the truth about their investment performance. I agree fully to your notion that: "lose money say lose mar, make money say make mar".
Kudos to you.

I doubt that it will close at/above 5.00 today. But if it does, I would be very happy to end the week. haha
2015-10-23 10:05 | Report Abuse
To tell you the truth, if I'm not a very very very small investor and have bigger capital to spare, I would have bought more of KESM. But I guess I need to settle down and wait.
2015-10-22 17:03 | Report Abuse
Haha not today paperplane. But I think there is no problem for KESM to go to RM 6. Like RosmahMansur always said "KESM the cheapest tech stock in Bursa". Right Rosmah? haha

CloudJ, there are speculators and investors. The ones selling might be speculators or short-term investors. There is nothing wrong for them to follow their method of making money.
As for myself, I'm more towards mid-long term investor. So a decline of few percents do not shook me (at the moment lol!).
Newbie opinion. I could be wrong.

After a one day rise more than 15%, some pullback 3-5% is healthy I think.

I agree that the criticism against KC is uncalled for.
Keep up the good work KC. I am one of the people who appreciate your knowledge and writings in i3.
Thanks~

Congratulations to Mr Koon and people who bought VS.
But wow! I can't believe Mr Koon bashes KC. (I can't think of other reason than he disagreed to Koon's stock). I think Koon's and KC's ideology of investing is different. That is all. Koon focuses on opportunity and trend, KC focuses on safety and value.
Scenario 1: Market is bullish
In this scenario, Koon might have the upper hand as he pounces on opportunity. Thus may make more money than KC. However, if things go south Koon will also loses big as evident in his Rsawit, Jtiasa, Mudajaya etc.
Scenario 2: Market turns sour
In this scenario, I think KC's ideology will save him as his extensive and discipline towards complying to strict FA guidance. However, he might or might not benefit sentiments and trend investing like Koon. But if market is sour, FA stocks will rise up since they are stronger.
Therefore, people in i3 just need to understand that their ideology and investing methodologies are different. You choose your own style. Like myself, I like KC style more since I have small capital to invest. But Koon's style can work if you have a large pile of cash too.
P/S: I am a novice investor. This is just my opinion and I can be VERY-VERY wrong in commenting this. Therefore, don't listen to me :p. And I think Koon also should give OTB some credit as if I'm not mistaken, OTB discovered his selection of stocks first.
Thanks~

Any TA specialist here to comment about technical analysis for KESM?
2015-10-13 16:55 | Report Abuse
@Mr Koon, I can say that I agree with your view in this article where you highlighted your concerns on corruption.
Even if I don't agreed with your points in your previous article, but my novice investor side do not see much fallacy in this particular article.
Note: I'm just being objective. Thanks for the write-ups.

Hi paperplane, yus management tak kisah. But if they announce bonus issue, the share price shoot up. Won't it benefit them then?
2015-10-13 14:34 | Report Abuse
Hi OTB, thanks for the clarification. Let the KESM management have a thought about it. I also think increasing the liquidity of the stock will unlocked the value of this stock to a certain extent. Surely the management also benefits from this exercise should they decided to do just that.

@mcchuah, nice to hear that you have earned $$$ by following Mr Koon in the last two months. But your sentence "I will follow you at all times" is very dangerous. If you are a new investor, be very wary of 'following'others. Learn and do our homework first, if our homework yield the same 'thought' as the person you want to follow, then no problem.
The key thing here is being 'objective'. I have also followed closely articles not only from Mr Koon but also a lot other investors. But I do not necessarily agree/follow them.
Just 2 cents from a novice investor. I might be wrong
2015-10-12 16:40 | Report Abuse
I think it is good that KESM decline a bit and take a breather. If the management of the company wants to unlock the value of KESM shares, they must improve the liquidity of this share
2015-10-12 12:11 | Report Abuse
Without disrespecting Mr Koon, I must state that Icon8888 do have very valid points. Indeed this year it is quite clear on the trend. And I understand Mr Koon said he is not here to boast but if you read the article clearly, it stated otherwise.
And I think Mr Koon needs to give some credit to the people who introduced him the export theme stocks as Icon8888 is right by saying Mr Koon's pick would be Mudajaya, Rimbunan Sawit, Jayatiasa, Felda, etc. I do read Mr Koons posts and can confirm the former stocks were also 'recommended' by him.
For those new to i3. Make some research first :)

Guys, I think we are missing the point here. Indeed the RM improved. But it is still 4-something. KESM investor should only be worried if the RM is back where it was before the hike. And I personally think the RM won't improve that fast considering our political fiasco as well as 1MDB.
2 cents from a novice investor. I might be wrong.

Lol. These comments cheer up my day. Popcorn time. I don't understand much. But from a neutral point of view I would like to say this (assuming everything they said is legit:

Indeed you are very successful (at least if compared to me) :(
I started investing since 18 years old too but I do not do great and lose some money at least two years of my investment journey. Now, I'm constantly improving but not doing great yet. Need to learn more. I want to consistently achieve 15% returns annually before I turn 27 years old in a few years.

Good that you are very successful in your investment in stocks and properties.
I am a novice in stocks and probably zero knowledge in property.
So I also appreciate your insights. Thank you.
Congratulation for having a great son who achieve to be a millionaire by age of 26.
Summary-
Lets all relax and learn from each other. My 2 cents.

95% man. Kudos to OTB. His method proven in tough times as well.
I want to also point out that his only negative picks are Favco and Naim only. Both are imho undervalued stocks and not wrong picks. Like what OTB said, FA is good but TA and/or the industry is not good right now. By no means these two stocks are bad previously when he did his picks.
I'm confident OTB will have more than 100% returns after this. I was his subscribers previously but now I have less time to involve in stocks. But I do recommend anyone subscribing to OTB. Not a supporter of OTB. Just a good & objective customer.

OTB does prove that he is a good investor and is always humble. I respected him and Kcchongnz for their views and knowledge. They also admitted if they have done any mistake. We all make mistakes, they make less mistakes and even admitted them. Having these people in i3 is a privilege for continuous learning n thought provoking. All to make us a better investor

Hi Murali,
I think it is fair to leave out OTB in this. The focus is uncle Koon and potentially those newbies reading this thread. Actually I did respect uncle Koon before, but his actions disappointed me. The way he promoted his shares + not telling his supporters when to cut loss (even when he did mass selling himself) is really a dcik move.
P/S: I personally never bought shares he recommended before as I don't like those companies (Mudajaya&Jtiasa) after I did my due diligence. However, these stocks in this thread are good but one should ponder about the timing and the past movement. Newbies like myself, do our homework first. Logic is a must in investment.
