Why do you relate with what people do in real life? Of course people will have their own strategy in their real investment. This competition acts like an experiment for some of them trying out a real one year buy-and-hold strategy.

I don't think paperplane2016 is wasting his time in doing all the compilation. In fact, we are lucky to have someone doing that to know how we stand with our picks. Of course it is just a "bluff" money. Lol. That is the whole point. To learn with each other.

p/s: And their (paperplane2016 & icon8888) rivalries lighten up this forum if anything. haha. I respect both paperplane2016 and Icon8888.

@lching, I'm from a poor family but my foundation has really helped me to further my study. However, I was being very (sometimes extremely) frugal and it is not easy but it is doable with the right mentality. I'm not saying form 6 is not good. Most of my friends who are doing so good right now came from form 6.

@icon8989, I agree with you that the selection is quite difficult to make as a lot of students coming from poor family have poorer English. However, I respect Mr Koon's criteria because it is his money. I just hope that they already have the measure to counteract your concern Icon8989.

Interesting discussion. I can understand OTB's idea of sponsoring a 'loser' in the stock pick challenge. And I think giving the freedom to Mr Tan to choose those losers are good as Mr Tan is a senior in i3 and would know if the person is really losing intentionally or really are struggling in investment.

And I believe Mr Tan will also choose based on the attitude of the losing participants as well. This bodes well for the i3investor forumn as a whole.

Hi Mr Tan, I would like to participate in Stock Pick Challenge 2016. I have participated in year 2014 & 2015. I managed to pare down my losses in between the years and would have my own target of 10% returns on 2016. I'm still a novice in investing and hope to learn again with everyone on 2016. Wow what a surprise coming from a company like this. I'm no supporter of Mr Koon and you can see my previous posts being critical towards him, but this time he is right to react that way to the board.

Be prepared if he trims down his shares and rightly so if he loses confidence in this counter. The same reason I never believed this kind of stocks anyway.

Hahaha.. This Fam Jenny is so passionate. Not sure about the story of 44 people survives because of a miracle. It could be that they survived due to other reasons. My point is, 44 people who survived that does not take away the other thousands who perished.

I don't care what race are you but being a racist is just plain bad. Sadly, not a lot of people being critical thinking in this thread. While you guys argue, there are people out there doing great things.

The main problem is people will always look at the differences that we have with each other while failing to see the common traits that we share. Think more and you will see not every Malay, Chinese, Indian etc are bad. Some people are just bad regardless of what race they are.

Guys, Rosmah is giving you a recommendation. Like she said, it is up to your belief whether to sell or not due to Mr Koon disposed his holdings in Latitude. It is already nice of her to share that Mr Koon was disposing.

It is also depends if you are a short term investor or long term investor. I think there is no new 'thrills' in this stock in the short term. :) But I'm holding it for now as I'm going long.

Hurm.. people are so serious in the upcoming 2016 pick. We do not have this in 2014 & 2015. In fact, 2014 there are just 15 people participating. haha

But I'm a bit worried now that there are money on the line now. We all must not forget that the initial intention of the Stock Pick Challenge is to gain knowledge and have meaningful interaction with each other. Well the prize money is good for those who are really competitive about it I guess.

But to be fair I'm quite surprised that I did not end up on rock bottom as I'm having problem in Quarter 2-3 causing me to be out of i3 and the market as a whole. Therefore any stock split or dividend are not shared with Mr Tan KW.

Maybe if I share them, I would be place a bit above my state now. Well, now that I'm back and committed, I look forward to try the third time (2016). I'm learning and it feels great that we have so many great investor in i3.

People who are not confident in regards to the prospect of this company can sell. People who are short term investors can also sell.

As for myself, I'm holding to this stock as long as the fundamental stayed intact.

It is really interesting in regards to your information. The management seems to be focusing on "sustainability" which is quite interesting given the current market and it's correlation with Latitude. Interesting indeed.

While i'm a bit disappointed that the management not taking the inotiative to improve the liquidity of this stock, but I do think that they did well in managing the company in a conservative way. That might not be top bad considering the economy these days.

Hahaha.. People are very funny sometimes. Dear all, don't worry as this is a public listed company, communications will be disclosed. Some people act like they invested in a private equity. Haha..

And remember that there are more than one way to gain information. This is not 19th Century.

Those who attended AGM will have the advantage of knowing these information faster than others. But there are no hidden communication in this age. Information can be accessed anywhere. :D

I'm calm about this counter man. The recent QR is also a relief to me.

Slow and steady wins the race. What is most important is that the profit for this company has jumped and they are in a better financial state than previously. If the management is wise enough, they are surely planning to improve the liquidity of KESM shares.

Excellent result KESM. RM5 is not expensive now is it? No problem to reach RM6.
